A nice smaller community garden. You can see it in less than 1 hour. Definitely worth stopping at if your in Montrose.

My husband and I stopped in here before we could check-in to our Vrbo just to kill time. We were the only ones here and took our time enjoying all the plants, flowers, and cacti.
This is a nice little botanic garden that is free of charge and more like a "park." Plants, flowers and trees are labeled with names for identification. There are several statues, fountains, art pieces, benches and sitting areas. It is very peaceful and well-kept. I was surprised at how many flowers were still in bloom this late in the year. It was also nice seeing so many butterflies, bees and pollinators!
It was the perfect place for a relaxing stroll.

Or try after dinner as it’s hot in the afternoon. Located behind the Montrose Pavilion. It is a quick but nice visit. A lot of hard work went into the gardens. You will probably be the only one there. Walk right in and enjoy.

Open dawn to dusk. We really liked this free, currently small garden. Walk along paths through different areas of different types of plants with nice signage about them and planting. There is construction undergoing for more expansive areas. Very calming to come here.

Stopped by after seeing it's review on Tripadvisor. Great little break from the "road"! Good variety of plants and flowers, and you can tell a lot of care, and professionalism go into making it a "gem" to look for in Montrose.

These small gardens are a work in progress by local gardeners. One section is a more traditional "green" garden, while the other features drought-tolerant plantings that are more appropriate for this high desert environment. Both have beauty in their own ways. The gardens are located in town right behind a community center - and are free to visit. I wouldn't come on a special trip to see these, but it is worth a few minutes if you happen to be in town.

It's small, it's under construction, and it's free-worth a visit if you are in the Montrose area to admire the work so far.

The park is under construction/remodeling, but the areas that complete are absolutely stunning. So much attention to detail with a large amount of plants and art. Definitely worth a stop!

Love visiting the gardens after a stressful day to unwind. I have found a place to sit and write in my journal or just close my eyes and breath.

It's getting to look like there has been a lot of work put in this garden. The flora & fauna are well idnentified & the paths are easily traveled.
