We are fortunate to live nearby Wadsworth Falls and are able to hike on the trails and see the waterfalls throughout the seasons. After the rains, the Big Falls are unbelievable and right off the parking area. The Little Falls are in the woods but are able to be seen when hiked to. The trails are marked.

Impressive waterfall! We did the hike from the north end of the park to the waterfall. We ran into plenty of joggers, dog-walkers, and meditators. It was a little chilly since it was fall and there is so much shade, but fall made it all the more beautiful. The little falls wasn't that impressive, maybe it would be better soon after a rain.

The big waterfall was magnificent, and the little was was wonderful for quiet contemplation without crowds. The shady woods were welcome during the summer. The pond water was rather silty when swimming, but that was to be expected a few days after a hurricane.

We did a quick drive-by visit to this park when we had an hour between our tour of Wesleyan and dinner. The waterfall is at the south end of the park -- super close to the parking lot. I can't speak to the amenities or hiking trails, but the waterfall was pretty!

It is over crowded, dirty, and a shame that patrons do not care enough to take out their garbage. Nature needs to be appreciated, not destroyed

I was looking for things to see in the area, while on a day trip and I just love waterfalls. So when I saw there was a waterfalls we just had to stop and visit before making our way home. Little did we know at the time there was a long way and a short way to the falls, Lol.
So we made the big hike right after lunch and just before sunset. Needless to say we burned off a few calories by the time we reached the falls. Just as we arrived at the falls, the park rangers asked if we made the hike because the park closed at dusk in about 45 minutes. We had no idea that there was a parking lot right next to the falls. So rule of thumb make sure if you are up for the hike, bring good walking shoes, a bottle of water, a use the facilities before you start out on your journey. Or if not have your GPS bring you to the closer parking lot. Lol

Simply a beautiful location with multiple trails, and plenty of beauty. The full loop is a little hilly, but we saw plenty of families with small kids able to make it all the way around with little difficulty. The waterfalls are of course the best sites to be seen, and if one wants to skip the hiking altogether, the best or biggest falls is adjacent to a parking lot. We chose to start at the opposite end of the park and work our way to the big Falls. The Little Falls are just as breathtaking but in a much more subtle way, and far more peaceful as they were no spectators at this site when we walked by. Would highly recommend

The park overall was ok. The waterfall was ok. The signage for the park is poorly done and we got lost.

This park is a scenic overlook and trail hiking destination only.
There is no swimming, no alcohol, no picnicking or actual barbecuing allowed.
The parking lot is often full and the residential area does not allow illegal parking on the streets or in the local church.

Over crowded. No parking. Garbage on the ground and in the river. People urinate and defecate in the woods around the falls. This park is designed as a stop over place to view the falls, fish and perhaps take some pictures. It’s not intended for picnicking and swimming. What once was a beautiful place is now a shameful garbage dump.

I feel very comfortable hiking alone at Wadsworth Falls, but it is difficult to find the large falls - easy hike though.
Does the park close after Labor Day or is it still open?

I am not aware that there are grills available by the waterfall area itself but I believe there may be some in the park at the start of trailhead. There are picnic tables and rest rooms in this park of the park as well.
Is the portable toilet there?

there are no facilities whatsoever at the area where this picture is taken. There are actually two parks. One is the Actual Park that used to be a swimming area but is now closed for swimming. The other one is just a Scenic stop to look at the Falls. There are no facilities there, no picnicking is allowed, and there's no swimming. There is also very limited parking maybe twelve spots if you can't park in one of those spots you will be turned away. Dont even try to park illegally in the nearby church or school parking lots..(they are blocked off) you will be ticketed or towed.
Swimming fine is $75 per person at the falls.
What is the cost to enter park

Website says $9 but every time I went there was no one taking money. That's at the swim and picnic area. Bigger falls no fee. Park and go for it
Are there any bike trails? Easy enough for kids & seniors? Thank you

Wadsworth Falls has dirty trails. This is for only mountain bikes..If stand on the trails with you be good for children and seniors. Sometimes you will see horses on the trails. Have Fun
