‪Should get Experiences‬
الأصدقاء • ديسمبر 2020
‪This is not big tunnel like Cu Chi in Ho Chi Minh, just small area and short tunnel. Located between Hoi An and Tam Ky city, be careful because this is quite place, really quiet, not many people live arround! Gluck!‬

‪I only recommend stopping this place if you have additional time during your trip. It was nice to actually see the Vietnamese tactical move against their enemies in the old day.
P.s: if you’re visiting without a guide, be reminded that one of the tunnel entrance is in a resident’s front yard (photo below), so make sure to ask for their permission. ‬

‪very helpful guide, locals absolutely lovely people, tunnels partially flooded‬
ديسمبر 2019
‪The map in the interpretation room show extensive network of tunnels under the village. Most are now flooded and inaccessible. It is possible to walk through one section with knee-deep water. Host is very congenial - no English.‬

‪United Kingdom tunnels gem of a find ‬
يناير 2019
‪Authentic gem!! Sometimes when you travel you feel as though you’ve discovered something no one else has yet and this is it ! We went as a group of 7 , 3 adults and 4 kids aged 6,9,10 and 12. We caught a return taxi from hoi an (around 1mil vnd for a 7 seater) and the driver stayed with us and took us to the mural city on the coast. Trip took about 1 hour to get there. There are not really any places to eat in the area so we just purchased some fruit from a local stall down there. When you arrive there is a big sign saying welcome to the tunnels as well as a building to the right. If you either drive or walk beyond that to the right you will find another building with another billboard and a telephone number to call. It took a while but our driver called and about 10 min later a guy turns up on a motorbike to start out private tour. We went in January and there was unfortunately water in the tunnels so we couldn’t go as far but nonetheless 2 kids and 1 adult went in twice coming up in different places. It felt so authentic you are right in a village and part of the non organised manner of this trip made it feel like you were discovering these tunnels yourself. The man who dug the tunnels daughters still live right at this spot and they happily waved and chatted in Vietnamese to us. We then went back to the main entrance to watch a 15 min video with English sub titles about the tunnels. We paid the guy 200k vnd which is far from what it was worth. 100% do not miss this out of your trip if you can do it ! ‬

‪Diamond of a find.

One of my new favourite attractions in Quang Nam.

Guide was very helpful and provided a lot of information in Vietnamese. ‬

‪Trying to understand‬
بمفردك • أكتوبر 2018
‪After Tam Tranh village we came here late in the afternoon. We called the telephone number on the wall beside the entrance to the tunnel under the ancestor spiritual building.
My guide spoke with the man who arrived and showed us around. Descending into the tunnel was a challenge to overcome the feeling of confinement and it’s a dark place to be. At 60 I can’t imagine how it would feel to be a villager here and have war all around me. Can we ever, us lucky enough to live without this violent conflict?
The ladies, who were teenagers at the time of the war, now 79, told us of digging to tunnels and feeding the people in them and a little about the era.
Understanding local way of life through times of war is impossible for me. My heart was incapable of comprehension.
One tree here is more than 300 years old.‬

‪Decided to put this on our list to do after reading other reviews on T/A.Off the tourist grid tunnel system set in a small village/farming area.Has been listed as a heritage/historical site.Arriving there our guide made a quick phone call and the local caretaker arrived to open the small museum attached to the main site.Mr Tim then opened the gates and proceeded to take us into the tunnel system.I found this very interesting as many villages would have had similar set ups during the war.As we were the only visitors there at that time I found it to be a very personal experience.Well worth it we thought, happy to recommend it.‬

‪Interessant, aber ohne Führer nicht sonnvoll !‬
زوجان • يوليو 2018

‪Very enjoyable afternoon!‬
بمفردك • أغسطس 2018
‪I hired a driver in Hoi An, to take me an hour south to Ky Anh (bizarrely shown as United Kingdom tunnels on Google maps!), as Vinh Moc tunnels are 5 hours drive north of here.
On arrival at a local temple shrine, my driver found a sign with a phone number on which he proceeded to call, then 5 mins later Mr Kim turned up on a moped, and opened up a hall at the shrine entrance, with a few photos and some written English, plus tunnel maps, then took me round the back and down into a first aid bunker and deeper tunnel (very low ceiling if tall like me!) through which we slowly walked bent double - halfway through we could see daylight above, and faces of three old ladies smiling down, and then on hands and knees crawled further to an exit under a haystack in a farmyard - we then walked back for a quick chat with the lovely ladies, and was then shown through the jungle to paddy fields, past a 500 year old tree, and back into the jungle again to an underground commanders bunker with 4 exits. Later Mr Kim took me to see a glorious revolutionary video with English subtitles, plus another with him appearing regularly on local tv, sadly only in Vietnamese. I took my leave after a photo shoot, and a very enjoyable time spent with him. I only wish they would open up a few more of the 20 miles of tunnels for tourists to visit!‬

‪Ky Anh tunnel‬
العائلة • يوليو 2018
‪Thach Tan Village
Địa đạo Kỳ Anh, Ky Anh tunnel, 32km tunnel complex, supporting up to 1000 soldiers, included ventilation systems, medical quarters; ultimately serving as the headquarters for the local militia, Việt Cộng, playing an important role in the Vietnam war between 1965-72. Hidden entrances, that we saw, were under wheatstacks, bottom of wells and discrete holes at the back of the village temple.‬
