Bought a box of chocolate covered cherries for my husband for Valentines Day. Big disappointment when he opened the box today to find the cherries were half the size of what they normally are. I have been buying them for years so we are very familiar with what they are. Just another example of getting less for the same or higher price

We're very sorry to see this review. Our cherry cordials are made by hand, coating the cherry while adding a sugar mix over and over, like a snowball getting bigger. There are definitely some cherries that are different sizes since they grow that way, but there is no way are they are half the size. However, our cherries are sold by weight so our 9 piece box is 10oz minimum and that is what it is priced for.

We came here for a chocolate-making class and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Carmen, the gentleman leading our class, was very thorough - he walked us through the history of chocolate and why it's prepared in very specific ways. It's clear that he cares very deeply about high-quality chocolates and about Fascia's. This family-owned chocolate shoppe also has a lovely store with a variety of chocolates that appeal to all palates, and some of the chocolates are shaped into wonderful designs. It was a nice way to spend an hour, and we each got to take our homemade chocolate bar home with us at the end.

The others in my group seemed to enjoy it, but maybe they haven't done much in their lives. I was bored to death and cannot fairly recommend it to friends. I guess senior citizen groups struggle to find local destinations for day trips. I'll spend my money (a lot less of it!) on Hershey's nuggets. I am sorry this family has its heart and soul invested in this undertaking which some day no one will remember.

We'd agree that our heart and soul is invested in our business and are very proud of that fact. We think that is what actually sets our product apart from the Hershey's of the world. I did get great feedback from others in Jayne's group about our Chocolate Experience, just as we have the vast majority of 45,000 people who have come to learn about chocolate and make their own chocolate bar. That includes many Senior groups, school groups, professional groups and multi generation family visitors.

Visited this shop only briefly as a stop on our scenic train ride. We had minimal time here but I enjoyed our visit. The shop has a wide array of truffles, chocolate bars and bark, brittles of different kinds, and unique gifts (in chocolate). They also have a homemade gelato stand and though I didn't try any, it looked wonderful.
The chocolates that I brought home are of very good quality and the prices are quite reasonable.
I took a brochure and this places offers birthday parties, make your own chocolate bars, etc.
A great place and I hope to visit again and spend more time (and money) here.

We were with an excursion and this stop was perfect stop to try many samples, make your own and shop in the store. The staff was lovely and informative. The class to make your own bar was fun, simple and a good amount of time. We were educated on the different kinds of chocolates and given samples of each. We were even told the correct way to eat chocolate, and I find myself doing that now. Ha! This was a very nice gourmet chocolate store, the prices matched the quality. Higher prices for better chocolate. We will definitely be visiting again!

These folks have been making chocolate in Waterbury for ages! Huge selection of types and sizes. There are pre-made baskets but I like to walk around and pick out items that I would like or, if sending to friends, what their preference would be. The front of the store/counters are spotless, the staff lets you browse or will step in to help. They ship gifts-great for special occasions or holidays. Why purchase chocolates that were made months ago? Stop in for fresh and support a local business.

The options are plentiful and almost everything comes in milk and dark chocolate options which works well for my wife (prefers dark) and me (prefers milk).
The chocolate is very good and the caramel is amazing!!!!

We stopped because we were riding the train with the Railroad Museum. It felt like it was an arranged plan for us to spend money there, but actually it was quite pleasant. There were a couple of chocolate samples out, which were delicious. We also had a cup of gelato - excellent.

It is right off the highway, and open 7 days a week. Small shop, but they make all the chocolate on premises. And the chocolate is quite good. I would recommend if you have a sweet tooth for good quality chocolate.

This chocolate is to die for. I have given this chocolate for gifts to family and friends and it always gets rave reviews. They always have a nice selection of gifts for every holiday.
