Captain Danny took my wife and I out for some trout and redfish and the weather was perfect. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We went out on the morning trip and caught over 25 trout and a redfish. The action was good and the morning went fast. Definitely recommend Captain Danny and will look him up the next time we are in Amelia island. Thanks CD!

Our family had a great trip out with Capt. Danny. Based on the time of year we were fishing for Sea Trout but also caught a few other species. We caught plenty of keepers and he cleaned them and put them on ice for us before we left. Danny was great keeping us on the fish. When the bite slowed in one spot he had us in another location catching fish in no time.
He was also really informative about the surrounding area. He brought us by a nearby fort and we were able to see some wild horses on one of the islands. We'll definitely be back to fish Tarpon later in the year. After seeing some of the pictures he had of other fish caught on his boat our family is hooked. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

What a great trip we had with captain Danny. He gave us a great, and all around experience. I highly recommend a day on the water with him.

My son and I have gone fishing with Captain Danny Flynn three times—twice this week and once last year. My son is happy to catch anything and Danny, although best known as a tarpon guide, has always been able to find fish that are biting. This morning we caught several king mackerel that fought like mad and brought home two nice Spanish mackerel for dinner. My son accidentally hooked a tarpon on light tackle and was able to fight with it for a very exciting 3-4 minutes before it got away. Three days ago we brought home trout, whiting, and a flounder. At the end of our half days, he always cleans the fish and packs the fillets on ice for us to take to our hotel or a local restaurant.
He is always on time. His boat is meticulously maintained and clean—it looks brand new.
I recommend Fish Amelia Island and Danny Flynn without reservation. He is the best!

Went out with Capt. Danny in July 2022, it was my first fishing charter so I didn’t know what to expect- but WOW!!! We caught a tarpon, a shark (neither of which made it into the boat, very exciting all the same!) a huge red bull, some yellow jacks, and several black bulls. Even had a shark eat a fish as we were reeling it in! Mind-blowing. Capt. Danny was completely knowledgeable about what fish to keep and eat, he even prepared them for us. Icing on the cake was spotting some wild horses on the way back to the marina! A couple folks in my group had been on charters before and said this was by far the best. We all agreed when we return to Amelia Island we will charter with Capt. Danny again! 10/10 recommend!

We have lived here since 2014, I have been fortunate to catch fish inshore, from the beach, docks, flats boats via fly-fishing & Spin. In addition, I have travelled throughout the caribbean islands, florida, montana and virginia so I have experienced a variety of fishing guides, trips, seasons and conditions.
Danny Flynn is a Professional, Talented and Overall Awesome Guide!!
I caught my first Amelia Island Tarpon with him yesterday. We jumped 7 and landed 4 (all 50-80 pounds) All were safely released. We also caught at least 6 Redfish (all over the slot size with the largest at 40" and a monster Speckled Trout at 24". All of this in a half-day fishing trip (4 hours). My Guest had a Record Fishing Day Too!
Danny has the experience, boat, great local knowledge and treats his Guests very well. He is in high demand but you might get lucky and book him for a fantastic fishing trip! I highly recommend Danny Flynn and Fish Amelia Island!!

I'm 16 and I've been fishing since I was two and this is by far the best fishing trip I ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fish Amelia is hands down the best charter experience on Amelia Island! Captain Danny has the unique ability create once in lifetime nautical experience for first time fisherman to the most experienced angler. His 25 years of local experience are on display with every trip. He understands how the tides, moon phases, location, weather , you name it can influence your catch and has a plan to put you on the hot spots. Captain Danny being a father himself understands sometimes you are doing more than catching fish you are creating family memories that will last forever! Danny took me out for a quick half day fishing trip. It was such a blast. Danny had top notch equipment, a very capable boat, and - most importantly - a well coordinated plan. We started the day searching for where to schools of Tarpon might be. Without much delay we found them. I consider myself an experienced fisherman, but I had never caught a Tarpon. Danny coached me through it all… where to cast when we see them, retrieve speed, what a bite should feel like, and how to respond to make sure I don’t lose it. We hooked up on a few, but didn’t get that elusive monster until right at the end of the trip. With the fish biting, Danny kept us on the water past our scheduled finish time, and I finally got the big Tarpon that had spit my hook earlier.
I couldn’t recommend Danny more. He is a super friendly guide that seems to genuinely enjoys what he does. It was clear that making my trip enjoyable was his top priority - and it sure was.

This is our 3rd year in a row having Captain Danny at the helm of our charter. I’ve always had a blast, learned new things from him, and caught a bucket list tarpon today on the water. I take my wife and two kids and he’s always been super accommodating to me and my family. I highly recommend him for your next charter, he’s a G.O.A.T when it comes to fishing this area.

1/2 day fishing trips begin at $400 or so, then go up from there depending on the size of the boat, how far out you want to go, etc... Our family uses Captain Danny Flynn because Danny typically has us fishing in 10-15 minutes after we start. Also, because the backwater fishing is so diverse, and the jetty fishing is also so close, you don't have to travel far to be on big fish. Hotels: the Hampton Inn downtown is next to the marina and in the heart of the downtown. It is a wonderful hotel. If you want to be close to the beach, you might consider an oceanfront condo via VRBO.
