John took my teenaged sons out three times during our week in Marathon. Each day was different and bountiful! One boy caught his dream fish (a wahoo), and we ate royally on the boys’ catches all week (enough to share with our neighbors who thus became our friends)! John was super and we cannot recommend fishing with him highly enough!

Great afternoon. Lot of fish. Easy fishing. Jack was great and knowledgeable and our family had a really nice time. I would absolutely recommend anyone, especially with kids. He was patient and helpful.

Fabulous day on the water with Jack and Jay. Both were extremely patient with this novice fisherwoman. We caught 20 mangrove snapper, which is the limit. They knew exactly where to find the fish. We were successful at all three spots! Hoping we get another chance to enjoy their expertise 😊

Amazing experience! This was my first time tarpon fishing and it most definitely be a memory I will cherish forever. Captain Jack was very welcoming and extremely approachable.

Another fantastic adventure with Callion Fishing Charters. My family wanted an unique fishing experience and Captain Jack over delivered again.

We had a great day fishing with Jack Callion, who is a super nice guy and knows everything possible about fishing in the Keys. He took us to a perfect location for barracuda where we caught 8 within 30 minutes. We then proceeded to an excellent location for shark and caught several in no time at all. A couple were over 150lbs and quite a workout.

We booked a small family trip to try and put my brother on his first tarpon. Captain Jack and first mate Joe worked hard to make it happen! They got us on the tarpon despite less than ideal fishing conditions, and we had an absolute blast. Highly recommend Callion fishing—you will not be disappointed!

Had a great time with Captn Jack!
Caught a lot of different fish and he cleaned them for us. Had the best meal that evening! Super fun and chill. Everyone in our little group had a great time!

Capt.Jack is one of my favorite fishing captains to fish with. Just finished two tarpon trips in two days with my 13 and 10 year old and we all had a blast. Capt. Jack helped guide them and taught all of us how to catch these awesome fish. Finished the two days with alot of action including a +100# monster. Fish with Capt. Jack- you will not regret it.

Caught my first tarpon in my late fifties.I was instantly obsessed with these magnificent silver kings. Set the unreasonable goal of trying to catch 100 before I died. Fished with several guides and began to realize I had no chance to reach my goal. Then I discovered Capt. Jack of Callion Fishing in Marathon. I am proud to say that in this, my ninth year of fishing with Capt. Jack, not only did I reach my goal, but am now at 103. I’m 73 yrs. old and plan to keep adding to that number. If you want to experience the thrill of landing one of these amazing fish, Capt. Jack will give you the absolute best chance you’ll ever have. Bar none! He also surprised me with a Champagne shower when I landed #100!

I would say May and early June. It depends on the tides.
