There wasn’t anyone around in the office. It is an open walk with no shade and not much water. We saw very little wildlife. The place is kept in very good shape with clean bathroom.

Go visiting these nature wilderness! It is short to the city and easy to find. Nice walk to the lake.

very nice walking trails. Even and safe for all ages. Went on over 20 walking trails last month and one of my favorites.

This preserve is spectacular! Travel back in time and see Florida before the developers arrived. It’s like the Ocala National Forest without the litter. The Nature Conservancy does an amazing job maintaining this beautiful property. The trails are well marked and easy to follow. There’s a 2.5 mile loop trail that takes you to Lake Russell with an additional 3.6 mile trail if you’re up to the challenge. The welcome center has ample parking and restrooms. After that it’s all nature. If you’re looking to unplug from the theme parks and visit the real Florida, this is the place. FREE

Me sentí genial en este Hotel. La naturaleza que brinda un paisaje majestuoso , y muy tranquilo. Me gustó la forma en que me trataron. Todo estaba muy limpio.

What a way to take a lunchbreak. 100% Lovely. No NOISE. Pure Quiet. Have you really listened ?
No loud tailpipe/muffler sound reving. No squealing tires. No loud cell phone conversations for the neighbors to have to listen to. Listen for Birds chirping and singing. Watch the Sandhill Cranes play or dance. Smell clean Air. What an Atmosphere. See you next week . 😍

Learned much about the local wilderness and how it was established with a super guide, Daniel Cole. I believe this is a much overlooked opportunity to see a unique activity/site managed by the Nature Conservancy.

When you're ready to escape the hustle of life, this is a great place to visit. I took the short trail; <3 miles, I believe. I would recommend proper footwear; a more sturdy shoe than tennis shoes. The peaceful sound of the wind blowing through the trees was the loudest noise enjoyed. Again, a great escape.

Not al all. After the first 100 paved yards, it is a natural terrain thin trail through sand, hard-packed sand and scrub. Its a foot trail not even wide enough for a wheelchair...
