Took a flame class with my two college kids - it was a great experience and something different that they both enjoyed. The instructor was really good & we each got to make something. I had to pick up the items the following weekend, but that was expected. A great experience overall!

We parked in the back area and walked through a busy glass blowing studio, There were numerous pieces on display that appeared somewhat amateurish. Then we entered the "museum." There was an amazing display of fabulous glass works all looking like museum quality pieces. This was definitely worth a stop.

When my grown kids visited last December 2019, my friend offered me her reservation for the Benzaiten Center. I was sure they would say no but they seemed interested. They made floppy glass bowls and could not have had a better experience. So this year, with another visit on the horizon, I made my own reservation for my kids (age 30’s). Because of COVID, they could not “blow” glass. Instead, they made glass flowers which uses more of a shaping technique. It was a huge success. Paperweights was the other choice. This is a great opportunity to create seasonal gifts. The staff are very mindful of COVID safety. You must wear a mask.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this. I booked the class for my better half. It was a bit intimidating and hotter than hell, but it turned out to be so much fun. They will provide as much or as little help as you need. The will perfect your creation or allow it to be imperfect if that is the way you want it. There are a few options of things to make (floppy/wobbly edge bowl, glasses, vase, flower) but if you are real nice they might let you be more creative. I really appreciated getting our creations afterwards and the staff was really helpful, supportive and a pleasure to work with. David was the best!

I have always marveled at blown glass and I took the introductory class with a friend. We created a small piece with the help of the instructor. It is a very intense process where we are concentrated on keeping this ball of fuesed glass from collapsing and at the same time wanting to give it a form and colour. A great experience and one that allows us to truly appreciate this art. Doing it has no substitute. Everyone shoud try it and this is a great place to do so.

We visited the Benzaiten Center and were amazed at the beautiful artwork and the Blown Glass art was stunning. They have classes on Glassblowing, Flame-working and Fusing. I wished we were able to take a class but we were leaving Florida in a day or two. All the items for sale are extraordinary such as Jewelry, blown glass, pottery, Sweetgrass baskets, face jugs, etc. I would highly recommend a visit. The people who work there are very knowledgeable and friendly. The entrance is free but the classes are pretty expensive.

Very eclectic and hands on Creative Arts Center! You can just watch or get hands on experience in glass blowing. The Center really is dedicated to helping artists acheive their potential.

The center was very delightful from entering to the lovely gift shop . We saw a plate behind made from start to finish with very interesting stories . The people were extremely nice and even served cookies and lemonade after our tour !!!

Went with our 3 teens and they all had a great time! Instructor was friendly and patient, explaining the techniques and guiding us through out.

Great place to take Art classes. Also Rick Eggert, a very talented Glass blower teaches hot shop glass blowing. He really knows his stuff and is an accomplished artist.
They have a very nice gift shop with art produced there.
Also they have a huge parking lot in the rear.
