i gave the bartender a 50$ and she returned me with change for a 25$..i know what i handed her considering it was the first drink of the night for me..

Ok so, this is quiet little dive bar, with great people, great service and surprisingly good food. My husband got the fish sandwich and he knows his fish. He loved it. I ordered a bratwurst and it could’ve been warmer but the flavor was great. The seasoned fries were nothing special but still very good. And I had a very cold beer which was perfect. This is a small place with maybe 8-10 TVs. Everyone was very laid back just drinking beer and watching their sports. It was a good lunch at a very good price.

Spent a day in Downtown Melbourne with out-of-state visitors. While walking back to the municipal parking area, one friend desperately needed to use a restroom. Went into this establishment and were informed the restroom was “only for paying customers due to homeless people”. Appalled at such a statement, I ordered a soft drink just so my friend could utilize the restroom. The soft drink was delivered ONLY after I paid for it. Because it was a fountain drink in a glass (not a to-go cup), I left it on the counter. The server/owner/manager executed exceptionally poor customer service skills (or, perhaps passive aggressive sarcasm) as it was quite obvious we were not staying or dining there. (A party of 5, one soft-drink). Have frequented many shops & restaurants in Historic Downtown Melbourne without incident. Will never patronize this establishment which, by the way, is small, dated, smelled of stale smoke and grease. Additionally, no onsite parking is available.

Chumley's Depot- Downtown Melbourne- 3 Stars

Located in an unassuming strip mall in downtown Melbourne sits Chumley's Depot. As I walked inside I was greeted with a waft of stale cigarette smoke and couldn't help but think of the movie, "Back to the Future." "Where are we, Doc?" "Not where, Marty. When."
Did walking through the doors transport me back to 1975, or was I imagining the odor? As I took a seat at the counter to order my meal, I noticed that the opposite wall was a counter with outside stool seating. The customers sitting there were smoking while eating and the smoke was being blown inside the restaurant. "Ah, so that is how they are skirting the law," I thought as the server approached me and asked for my order. I went with a pint of Smithwick Ale, chicken wings with Marcus Sauce and finished with the Mariners dog (I didn't ask for a side of air freshener). The ale was cool, crisp and perfectly drawn from the tap, the rest of the meal however...My order of 5 wings in their "internationally famous" Marcus sauce was the first to arrive. They certainly did not lie on the menu when they said, "...you gotta like it hot." These were on fire, though I do have to question just how internationally famous they are. Is there a couple in Thailand going, "Hey! Remember those wings at Chumley's with the Marcus sauce?" Served with the traditional celery stalk and side of blue cheese they were adequate. The Mariner's dog, however, left much to be desired. It comes with sauerkraut and cream cheese. The hotdog itself appeared to be microwaved and one bite made me sure it had been. It was a bit on the chewy side. The bun looked like it was bought at the 99 cent store and tasted about the same. It was bland and leaning towards the stale side. The kraut was fine, obviously out of a can, but not bad, though they were a bit skimpy on the kraut and cream cheese for my tastes. Big Boy says, "Stop by in a pinch, but you can get a better dog elsewhere."

We had always known about Chumly's but never made it in. Recently after the Indilantic art show we went to go cool off, at Chumly's. It was not very busy at all, mid day, so we sat at the bar and our server was right there. They have a few good beers on tap, so I indulged. We got an order of wings, but do to my wifes eating issues we had the sauce on the side, just not the same that way. But they were good. I also had the sausage sandwich, my wife had a burger. Everything was good and hot. It is a local hang out, with TV's for sports and a friendly staff. Give them a try, they are not the chain restaurant scene, just Chummy...........

Stopped in for lunch. Marcus is a true gem and Lois rocked it! My husband had wings that are one of the best he has had in Brevard. Marcus’ hot sauce was very good! We had the pork rinds! They rocked ! My Mahi was great and cooked to perfection!
Loved so much we will be back! Absolutely love the dog friendly area! Thank you Chumley and staff

This was the first stop on our Melbourne Pup-crawl. Back patio is pet friendly (must walk through the restaurant). We ordered the jalapeno ravioli - very good. Beer and wine only, no hard alcohol. Bring you own dog water-bowl as none was offered.

Chumley's is a friendly, comfortable, and affordable little sports pub with some of the best chicken wings in the Melbourne, FL area - if not THE best!
It's conveniently located just west of US Hwy.1 in old downtown where many of the area's bars and restaurants are. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to meet up with friends for a few beers and to watch the game.

I was there mid-week after the Super Bowl, so it was relatively quiet that day. Just the same, the service was great. I had bratwurst with a made-from-scratch dipping sauce; I definitely recommend that. Very tasty sauce, a bit like a thicker version of 'au jus' that normally accompanies French dip sandwiches.
The menu also had other standard bar fare.
(The name seems to have confused TripAdvisor - this is a bar/restaurant, not a station or theme park attraction).

Stopped by after GEOing. Great Food, wonderful atmosphere and COLD beer. Make sure you stop by for the great curly seasoned fries (special request item, but superb).
