‪A lovely and well maintained piece of history. Easy walking to get to bridge from parking lot and then walk across the bridge. Creek is great for all- adults, kids, dogs.‬

‪One of only 4 restored covered bridges in Missouri, this bridge is very close to the St Louis area an a great place to visit. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a nice display of information on the bridge and its history. There is a nice picnic and BBQ area as well. You can walk through the bridge and explore the creek and its banks. The setting is very pretty, and there are vault toilets available. Plenty of available parking. Signage leading to the park is also very good. Overall, definitely worth a stop.‬

‪Very nice bridge that has been restored. There are some small trails that you can walk down to the creek. There’s also some picnic tables that you can sit and enjoy the scenery.‬

‪Another stamp needed for my Missouri State Parks book. Gentlemen at Mastadon State Park informed us about this so we had to go. Very beautiful and I was not even aware that there was a covered bridge so close. Nicely kept up and great place to have a basket lunch. Missouri State Parks keep up the great work ‬

‪We visited this covered bridge and learned that the park is basically for day use only. It is very small, there don't appear to be any trails but there are outhouses and picnic tables with grills. The bridge has been restored to its 1800s appearance. It has been beautifully restored. There are a series of informative panels that provide interesting history on the bridge's design, materials used and tolls that used to be charged to those who wanted to cross the bridge. There are numerous photo ops while visiting this bridge. It is in a remote area so the area was very peaceful. Sandy Creek had water flowing through it while we were there. I would imagine that at times, the creek runs fast and high. Nice park to visit for a day trip.‬

‪This small and simple State Park is just 30 minutes from St. Louis' South County. It is off of Goldman Road from Hwy. 21. Bring a picnic, enjoy the ambiance and learn about one of the few covered bridges in Missouri. It is lovely and I learned a lot about covered bridges, the design, and why they were built. It is a nice family outing for the day or for a couple who then decides to do some of the wineries in the area. It is especially beautiful in the fall.‬

‪This is one of my favorite places to take my kids on a hot summer day. The creek that runs under the bridge is shallow, cool, and clear. We bring water sandals, nets, and buckets and try to catch some water critters. The creek is easy to access. There are many picnic tables, some with grills if you want to go all out with your food. Restrooms are on site, but they may only be open seasonally. There is no playground or anything like that, but plenty of open space for frisbees and catch, yet still lots of mature trees to shade most of the grounds. The bridge itself is a wooden red gorgeous piece of history. It makes for a perfect backdrop for family photos. In the winter, after a fresh snow, the bridge looks like the cover of a holiday card. A real gem in Jefferson County.‬
