What a fun place! My husband and I took our 2 boys (5 & 2) and they loved it! Staff was friendly and it was bigger than I thought. Next time we come we will do an animal encounter!

Nice break from the beaches environment. Small atmosphere allowing interaction with many of the animals. Pleasant and cordial staff. Recommend for all ages

Me and my wife went a few days back and got to meet some amazing animals from a quirky giraffe named tony, to all the soft plucky lemurs,and let’s not forget about Whitney the amazing lemur expert who made us feel at home all while talking about the life’s of their lemurs and talking to this veteran about his life. 10/10 will definitely return

A clean, well cared for conservatory of animals. Many of the animals are rescued and have found a home with a caring staff. The animal encounters are run by well informed staff and provide a fun and educational experience.

This is not a big zoo but the best I have ever been to. It is unique in that it focuses on animal encounters. We got to pet and feed sloths, hold baby kangaroos, pet a bunny, feed giraffes and farm animals and observe some very unique animals. The animals appear well loved and cared for. All the employees we encountered knowledgeable and pleasant. The facility is well maintained and a pleasure to walk around. We absolutely loved it.

We are locals and took our out of town guest to show off how cool ZooWorld is. The admission price is very reasonable and you’ll be surprised at how many different animals they have in a relatively small zoo. Feeding the gators, budgies, giraffe and petting zoo animals is a must! The interaction is wonderful and the animals are up close. Local or visitor, I highly recommend a visit.

Fun times feeding the animals and being so close to them. A few of the larger animals weren't around to see, but that happens at any zoo. The staff is friendly. The zoo isn't huge and it only took us about 2 hours to go through leisurely. The aviary was very fun.

This place is amazing me and my husband are down here visiting from South Carolina and love checking out zoos!! This one is the Best By far. I would Recommend this zoo to anybody

This is a great excursion for the whole family. It's not the largest zoo but animals are well cared for & staff is very friendly. It's a fun break from the beach.

My daughter and I along with my two Grandkids ages 8 & 1 1/2 visited the Zoo on Monday of Thanksgiving week. My two Grandkids loved all the animals. My Granddaughter did the Lemur Experience where staff member Lisa took great care of her. Other favorites were feeding the goats, birds and the Giraffe. They even enjoyed the reptile exhibits. Overall both a fun & educational experience. The staff members we encountered were friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely family friendly. Got 20% off for being a local. Open daily. Gift shop. Ample parking.

They are doing some pretty extensive renovations as well as dealing with possible hurricane preparations, when they open up they’ll honor your tickets, the folks are super nice and accommodating.

Are there government regulations regarding wild animals displayed for the public ie: tigers, lions, etc.and does Tis zoo meet all regulations. Many visitors mention continuous pacing of these cats which indicates boredom and lack of exercise.

The lions and tiger were pacing, others seemed happy. We've seen the same pacing with lions and tigers up at the Toronto Zoo near us and they have far bigger enclosures. Honestly, I think it would be best if they didn't keep those particular animals. They were working on a new area in the park, but we weren't sure if it was for the larger cats or something else.

We will be visiting the zoo on Monday. Our son's favorite animal is a sloth so we are obviously doing the sloth experience. Just had a few questions for anyone that has done that experience. How long is the experience? Do you get to hold the sloth, or just pet it? Is the $35 fee just for our son, or can all three of us participate in the experience?

We didn't feel the sloth experience was worth the money. It is $35 each and no you don't get to hold it, just touch it. The lemur experience is totally worth it. They are sweet and you get to hold and pet them while the lady takes pictures for you. The giraffe experience you don't really need. You just need to buy the lettuce then you can pet them while they eat. You really only need to buy one cup of bird food for everyone in your party to use. We ended up giving one of ours away.

You can definitely walk through the entire place in an hour but you will want to stop and look at the animals play...especially if you have children. Also, you may want to participate in any playtime with the animals that they offer. Once you are inside, you forget that you are so close to the beach! Its like another world inside. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
