The Water Planet dolphin encounter is like no other & even better if Captain Denis is at the helm. He has such respect for these incredible creatures & masterfully navigates the waters, among them. Bonus points if you speak French! But, no pressure-Since, Dolphins don’t. 😉
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting an authentic encounter. 5🌟🙏

Glen was our captain and we had a great tour. Saw probably 30-40 dolphins, 3 manatees, and 2 sea turtles mating. All from a foot away at times in the water. Got to spend 50 minutes at Shell Island to relax. Very exciting tour and our captain said we had one of the best trips he’s seen. Weather and sea conditions were excellent!! Glen was very knowledgeable and nice. Once in a lifetime experience for our granddaughter. Definitely a must do in Panama City Beach.

This was such an amazing experience! I can’t begin to explain how wonderful today was. Never did I think I would be in the water with dolphins…. Worth every penny and more.

What a great experience!! You get to be so close and o the dolphins and other sea life. We had a chance to swim with a manatee, as well. The dolphins were practically face to face with us…and we were also able to see a mama and her calf! Coach (Glen) was our captain, and he was amazing! Great instructions…and he was so knowledgeable of the marine life!

Absolutely glorious FULL DAY instead of just a half day spent with Denis as our tour guide.
The water was so warm and following dolphins was exciting.
They didn’t want to offer up any snuggling for me on this day, but I was swimming within 3 feet of them time and time again and it was so much fun.
They are such beautiful beings.

This was me and my husbands first snorkeling with dolphins. We were skeptical at first with snorkeling in the ocean. Captain Dennis made us very comfortable with all of his knowledge of the ocean life. He always made sure we knew the importance of respecting the ocean life. I personally think he needs a huge raise. He made the trip the best experience for us. Me and my husband have a new obsession with snorkeling. Definitely will be coming back every chance we get!! I 100% recommend this company and Captain Dennis! We loved it so much!!

Encore une fois, Water Planet nous (famille de 4 avec enfants de 3 et 6 ans) a permis de nager avec les dauphins sauvages dans une mer absolument magnifique et claire! Les dauphins sont au rendez-vous et leur respect est priorisé en tout temps! L'équipe est incroyable: passionnée, dévouée et experte en matière de dauphins! Le voyage de 4 heures permet de prendre le temps pour de multiples sauts en mer, mais aussi pour Shell Island et autres opportunités selon ce qui se présente : poissons en apnée, tortue de mer! Bref on retourne chez nous avec des souvenirs inoubliables! On recommande fortement!

My daughters and I did the swimming with the dolphins excursion on 8/15. Captain Glenn was the best! We were able to swim many, many times with the dolphins. We loved it! We also went to the schooner ship wreak and snorkeled. Highly recommend this excursion with Water Planet and be sure to ask for Captain Glenn.

This was the most memorable experience my son and I had in Panama City Beach!! We loved loved loved swimming with the dolphins and Captain Gary was awesome and knew where all the dolphins were!! If we come back to PCB we are definitely booking again with Water Planet!! If only we had dolphins in Ohio lol

We came for a week to visit Florida and went on the tour with water plants twice. Our captain was Denis and he went out of his way to make the trip awesome! We saw a lot of dolphins and got to swim with them many times. The second time we went snorkeling by Shell island. That was great to and Denis showed how to eat some raw scallops.
We would definitely recommend it! Thanks for the amazing day!!

I haven’t done other tours…just Water Planet. We have done it several times, and it is amazing. So close to many dolphins! We’ve also been lucky enough to swim with manatees (just by chance) and see sea turtles and other creatures. There are only 6 people max (other than the captain) on the boat, so it is very personal. Highly recommend!

We will be driving down from Seaside ,is parking scarce at your place or easily available? If neither me or my 8yr kid know swimming, can we still go in water? How would that work..will there be divers/staff around us to help if things go south?

Yes, they have parking at the marina. Request an intern to go in the water with your child and wear your life jackets in the water and you will float.
You really should learn how to swim for safety purposes. Not sure how they will feel about you not knowing how to swim at all. You are out in the gulf and have to swim back to get on and off the boat.

Thank you for your question. Since January and February are generally the coldest months in Northwest Florida, we usually do not offer this tour until we re-open on March 1st.
Should you be in the area in late February, do not hesitate to contact us and we may run a tour if the conditions are favorable.

No they do not promote or suggest that. The dolphins are wild dolphins and may come up to you, but I don't think they would get close enough to make contact. A pod approached us about an arms length away. It was an incredible experience. We have been to SeaWorld and have touched and feed dolphins, but swimming with them in their natural environment was the best! Hearing them talk to each other underwater was an unexpected surprise!!!😊

Is there a price to swim or not swim with the dolphins? I have people wanting to go but not swim. Do they pay the same as a person wanting to swim?

They had about 50 different life jackets, but not sure of the sizes. We used life jackets from 95# to #180.
How early should we book and is there refunds on stormy days? Also is the 99.00 for the whole water planet experience, that includes the boat tour?

Thanks for your question.
The price of the wild dolphin boat tour includes the dolphin swim, snorkeling gear, life vest, dolphin educational package, free bottled water. It does not include gratuities.
Based on availability, book as early as you can.
Should the National Weather Service issue a “Small Craft Advisory” for the time of your tour, we will cancel the tour and you will have the choice of rescheduling or cancelling for a refund.
