The town leadership should be embarrassed. Not a family friendly town. The outward appearance is certainly impressive but all of the rules and prices and pretentiousness of business owners is gross. For example our large group spent nearly $700 for 12 drinks and 6 appetizer then left and at the next stop we were denied and mocked for needing to use the restroom. This town should feel lucky but instead they act entitled... it won't last 10 more years. Stay away....Blahhh!!!

Filthy. Feces on master bed comfortor! Rented oceanfront home for spring break 2022. Urine stains on bathroom floor and toilet. I called and they came over to review and they apparently forgot to clean it as the homeowner had used it the prior week. Pots and pans were filthy and old. Food on living room couches. They offered discount at the time and never issued it. They claim it was accidently sent to wrong person. Recently they said they'd reissue a credit for $1500 but nothing ever received. Brigitte Tomba runs guest services and she apparently lied about a refund. "Checks in the mail" 🙁

We use to enjoy coming to Seaside almost every year. We haven’t been in a couple years due to the pandemic and I was kind of shocked. Locked gate to get out into the public beach?…. Huh. Apparently during the day, you have to rent a beach chair to go that way or walk 1/4 mile away. You also have to pay about $7 an hour to park when it use to be free. But honestly the biggest problems were the completely unsupervised preteens and teenagers all over the place in huge groups. Yelling at each other, riding their bikes or gold carts around/in between people relaxing and families with small children. I have three teenagers and never in a million years would I allow my 13-16 year olds free access to run around a town in the evening everywhere acting like the were. Young teen girls with barely any clothes on and plenty of teen boys running around being obnoxious. We were in the seaside style baby store and about 5 of them came in just to throw baby toys around and be obnoxious. I can’t imagine the store owners appreciate it. Not sure what the parents are doing but they clearly aren’t watching their children. The city needs to get it together and provide supervision if the parents refuse to. Very sad that what was once a cute family oriented town is turning into a mess.

We have been going to the Panama City Beach area for 30 years. We always go to shop and eat at Great Southern Cafe in Seaside. It was always charming and eclectic with great food. A few years ago they started charging to go to the beach. Today we drove there only to find that now you have to pay to park to shop and eat. Maybe we are old and stubborn but I refuse to pay to park to spend more money. Sadly, greed seems to have overcome the charm of seaside, Fl.

Came to Seaside to hang out in town and grab some drinks and a bite to eat. While waiting for a table, we thought we'd go down to the beach to kill time. That's when we discovered that there are locked gates at the beach and you are not permitted on the beach for whatever reason. I've never seen anything like it and I don't think we'll ever return to Seaside. It's a shame because we've always made a point to spend a day here anytime we were in the 30A area.

We thought the beach at Seaside was excellent overall. I think our portion of the beach was closer to Seagrove, but we spent time in the general area and definitely loved this area. Only feedback would be a bit more crowded than Pensacola area, but still a great area! Didn’t like some of the private beach areas, which certainly made some of the other parts more crowded. Highly recommend visiting

Tourist trap. Boring. Overpriced rental homes, bikes, food, restaurants. No cultural relevance and doesn’t try to include any cultural history or significance other than promoting the beach and shops. Beach was overloaded with seaweed, sargassum, or sea grass. Water was not blue and clear but More like greenish with a hint of blue. Sand is white and very powdery soft though. As for the restaurants, for being a beach town and bragging about having fresh catches everyday, the food was mediocre and expensive. If you’re looking for a great seafood experience like steamed blue crab, then forget it. Nowhere to be found. They like to fry all the seafood and offer snow crab legs as the ultimate crab experience (snow crabs are not native to FL, FYI.. they come frozen). If you plan on eating out, plan on paying 3x as much as a chains prices. But, my kids had a blast riding their rental bikes all over and hanging out with their friends. The town is extremely safe too. I did not worry about their safety at all. Highlight of our trip was booking a private deep sea fishing excursion. I highly recommend it bc you get to see different parts of the bay and islands that you would miss just by staying idle at Seaside. Overall, if you plan on vacationing here, just lower your standards and bring extra money to throw away.

Great Area, Clean Beach, Family Friendly. The water was clear and very blue. Parking was free on the side of the road but limited spots. There was a town center right off the beach and a popular spot.

If you are looking for a dystopian Handmade Tales beach vacation please take your family to Seaside. Seaside has built a whole beachside community w beachside shops and restaurants dependent on easy access to the beach but yet has enlisted a company to keep the same paying customers off the public beach. They have literally put up wire fences and have 4 security guards with walkie talkies blaring to threaten you to stay out. Seaside powers that be, you are stupid for biting the hand that pays you.

Get rid of the caban boys who are rude and monopolize the beach front, which does not allow everyone to enjoy the beach. The boys were swearing at us...and were relentless about our right to enjoy the beach. There were thousands of ghost chairs that were not being used. There were no breaks between the chairs to access the water and the people who rented the chairs felt entitled to not only the chairs they rented but the beach in front and in back of them. I have never seen anything like it...what was supposed to be a relaxing day at the beach, became stressful and so unfair. Isn't a puplic beach for everyone to enjoy? Well not here. Sad.

Hi there! Anyone have intel on what to do the week after Christmas/NYE in Seaside or around Santa Rosa this year? Assuming things will look a little different in 2020. We are interested in fishing, maybe an eco or boat tour of the lake/rivers, and any outdoor type events, etc. In general things to do during the day. Any suggestions are much appreciated :).

Almost everything's open (except the beach in Seaside, unless you want to pay, but you can go down the road). They should still have a tree lighting in Seaside, but idk how long it'll be up after Christmas. Really there won't be any restrictions. Not sure about any special events or anything.

Is there public beach access behind Pickles/ Bud & Ally's still? We quickly popped through in July 2020 and saw a gate with a keypad to get onto the beach. Hoping this area doesn't turn into how private Rosemary Beach is.

The last few years we have visited we have stayed at Grayton beach and visited in November. We have brought our own chairs etc. do not think the beach service is available at that time of year.

Hi! Seaside was recommended to us by two different friends for our first family beach vacation. Our girls are 3 and 5. We would like to go in July - is the weather good then or is it rainy? That's my biggest fear - that we'll get there and it will rain and rain and we won't be able to enjoy it. Are there activities nearby that we can do with our littles (1-1.5 hours within distance). Thank you!

It may be rainy in July, but there are so many fun family activities in the area you will be able to find many things to do. Usually in the summer, it may rain for a few hours but usually not for the entire day.

What is the water like? I have heard about Sea lice and jellyfish. Anybody there right now? I read a review from a week ago and he said u couldn’t go into the water. Why?

Like all beaches, everywhere, you must be aware of your surroundings and local reports. marine life is not static. One beach could have a jellyfish jubilee and 1/2 mile away nothing. Also same with the smaller creatures as well. Be informed and know that information here is already dated. Search the internet for the specific area where you are going.
