This was so nice too see. You wouldn’t think a place like this would be hidden in Tampa. Lots of plants for sure. I would visit again to go for a nice walk.

Had an awesome day today having a picnic lunch with my BFFS, then hiking the boardwalk and visiting the grounds including the greenhouse with all the beautiful orchispd plants! The supervisor took thee time to take us to a greenhouse where they grow, transplant and heal orchids.....it was the best back tour!!! Great day out!

It cost us $2 to visit this nothing park, one which we circled by foot in about 15 minutes. There wasn’t anything special to see – a short boardwalk to cross, but no water underneath. No serious flowers, foliage, or animal appearance whatsoever. A lot of folks have surprisingly called it a “hidden gem”, but Cherry Wonderdog could only ascertain that it was “hidden.” If this is a gem, I have a bag of dog food to sell you for $10,000.
It’s possible that we didn’t see all that the park had to offer because there was one trail blocked off for maintenance. Assuming this was THE emblematic trail to visit at this ‘hidden gem’, shame on the administrators for not alerting visitors upon entry and still charging them to park. Definitely not worth driving out of the way for this one.

This is a hidden gem. Kinda of small but super pretty. The landscapers were very nice and one even helped with my parking pass. You can literally smell the flowers blooming.
Also, dog friendly. Took my dog and he loved it.

We stopped here to stretch our legs driving back to Fort Myers from Orlando. It’s not far off 75 and it’s very inexpensive. We had our 7 and 12 year olds with us. It’s a beautiful preserve and the perfect short loop to walk and take in some nice scenery and get the blood flowing. We would definitely stop here again.

Hidden gem! Took about an hour or so to walk thru — we were taking pictures and going slow. Beautiful plants and boardwalk. We’ll maintained. For only $2 per car it is well worth the visit.

This is a fabulous hidden gem park in Hillsborough county, near the Tampa Executive Airport. Plenty of parking ($2.00 parking fee). This park has a small enclosed botanical garden with orchids, native plants and ferns with an easy walkable trails.
There is a boardwalk through a peaceful Cypress Grove and a perimeter trail of crushed seashell. Would not be ideal for a wheelchair but can certainly be navigated. The trails are not that long in distance and at an average pace you can easily walk all the trials in 45 minutes or less (pace dependent) it's a super easy stroll with plenty of plant life, birds and just "peace".

Surprising place to find a park. Reasonably priced to get in with a nice boardwalk trail. Did not see much wildlife, but still a very pleasant shady walk.

Only two bucks to get in. I came in the late morning and enjoyed the scenic walk. I saw birds, including herons and egrets. Only a few other visitors. I did see a dog being walked, on a leash. I got some exercise, which will stimulate my appetite for lunch. Scenic and enjoyable.

Lovely park with a boardwalk and gardens. Much prettier than I remembered. Well worth the $2 per car. Check it out if you are in the area.

Is there any where that has a cliff you can jump off into water in Flordia?

Perhaps in the north of the state. We only start getting rolling hills around the Ocala area. South of there, the state is flat. Maybe you could google state parks with lakes to find the answer.

Yes dogs are allowed on a leash. We brought our little pug and walked all around but we also carry doggie bags just in case and picked up after her. You will enjoy the walk and so will your pup. Have fun!
What time is best to visit? Flowers in bloom and vivid color etc .. Looking for wedding venue :-)

The entire grounds are lushly planted, so something is sure to be in blossom. Various shades of green are going to be the predominant color. Remember, this is Florida; it's already getting hot. There is an air conditioned party room, but it's nothing fancy. It has an outdoor grill, but I'm not sure about any indoor kitchen facility. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials.

It is an entrance fee, but it is only $2.00 per car, and that is for up to eight people per vehicle. The $2.00 is peanuts, and if you don't pay it, as Sharon said, and is noted my review, you can be fined $35.00. All that being said, the park is absolutely worth the $2.00! Enjoy --

Can you bring your dogs?

Yes, you absolutely can, however all of the normal rules apply, i.e. dog must be leashed (6 footer) at all times and you must pick up after your dog.
My husband and I belong to a breed specific rescue club and during the cooler weather have had "organized" walks there about once a month for members who live in the area, and have had as many as 15 - 20 dogs walking through the park together as a group.
Enjoy -- it is really a beautiful park!
