‪Great dive boat‬

‪Ashley and her team took great care of us.
The boat has a new look with new deck material that is cool on your feet and not slippery.
The crew on the boat was friendly and professional.
They gave us maximum dive time at the site
And never felt rushed
Our club will be back for sure!!!!

‪TOP TO BOTTOM AMAZING!‬

‪From start to finish the expereince was amazing. Not one minute felt rushed.....we showed up checked in met 2 adorable puppies, always a plus to have dive shop doggos! The staff, even those not involved with our boat were welcoming and friendly, we got "hey welcome" and "how are you guys" from the crew as soon as we walked in from the parking lot. Check in process was easy and no nonsense of filling it out everyday! Boarding the boat was chill and the awesome Mate jake analyzed our tanks and got them to the boat and let us sit wherever, no rushed get on and my favorite no "you have to sit here you dont have a choice" like other cattle car operations in the keys. I overheard another instructor Kyle teaching a class and he was friendly, fun, and knowledgeable! If I didn't already have my AOW cert I would have definitely asked for him! Captain Matt got us too and from safely was very helpful and unlike so many captains at cattle car places he let us know what time we needed to be up from dive 2 (a double dip on the spiegal!!) And didn't rush us on our surface intervals. That made me feel really safe, knowing that I didn't have to choose between rushing or missing out on time on dive 2. His be back time, based on our dive plan, was long after we'd be back up! They provided snacks, waters, cooler. It was basically like diving with a bunch of friends! There was even a staff member Gage who was fun diving with his mom who took time out of his day off to connect with us, chit chat, and he even helped me change out the donut on my tank and pointed out a goliath grouper and shark! We even got a bonus crocodile spotting in their canal! If your tired of the rushed cattle cars who only care about squeezing out that last $ out and don't care about your dive then come try out conch! ‬

‪By far the best dive center I’ve dived with….‬

‪I don’t typically write reviews in general partially because I feel like some effort should be put in when it comes to composing a post that could potentially have an impact on a business.

I sort of stumbled upon Conch Republic Divers (CRD) when I inquired at a local gear shop regarding getting spearfishing lessons (yes, for SCUBA- I don’t think it’s realistic to attempt free diving twice a year as I live in the Northeast) and the clerk recommended Kyle at CRD. I immediately called CRD and spoke with Christian, whom I believe is one of the owners and he informed me regretfully that Kyle was already booked for the day I had in mind. I asked if they had any other dive trips available and he was able to get me out on an afternoon trip. I proceeded to spend the next three days with CRD (unplanned) and got 12 dives in, to include the wrecks of the USS Spiegel Grove, SS Benwood, and Eagle as well as multiple reefs.

CRD is by far the best diving center experience I’ve had since I’ve started.

CRD’s check in office/shop is co-located with the boats and has a changing room and showers, and a covered outdoor area to work on your gear which they will happily store for you on secure racks overnight for your convenience.

CRD’s boat is perfect: clean, organized, spacious, fast, and padded for dudes like me without sea legs.

CRD’s crew (Mark, Jake, Gage, Matt, Bailey, Kyle, Christian and Ashley) are the friendliest, most patient, knowledgeable, and proficient group I’ve encountered in the dive world, and I was truly a bit sad to say goodbye to them- diving with them feels very personal and you can tell they all genuinely care about each client’s safety and providing diving experience.

I feel like and hope I made a new group of friends and plan to return with some of my buddies from the military as soon and often as I possibly can. On that note, they are also the only dive center/shop in the Keys that offer a discount for the active military and military veterans.

For the non-geographically inclined, don’t let the Tavernier address deter you- it’s about a 10-minute drive from anywhere in Key Largo.

I have no plans to dive with any other dive outfit in the region and can’t wait to hopefully make it back in October to learn to spearfish, get some more dives in, and reconnect with the crew. ‬

‪Great weekend diving and Lobstering with Conch‬

‪Great dive shop and great staff. Highly recommend them.

Probably one of the nicest large dive boats I’ve ever been on. Amazing quiet clean diesel engines with no fumes and large open spaces with amazing rubberized floors very comfortable.

Staff was attentive, supportive, and fun to hang out with

You should consider diving with these people. Very focused on making sure you have a great time.

That is safe and super eco-friendly we will definitely be back.

While we were on the boat, they had five volunteers that were doing work on the Reefs very focused on protecting and taking care of the reefs‬

‪What to say… the shop staff was amazing. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Our charter didn’t disappoint, crew was amazing and put us on the lobster every time out. An awesome experience all around‬

‪Drops Anchors on Reefs‬

‪July 1st, 2023, Pickle Barrel’s Reef.
Conch Republic dropped anchor on the reef after speeding through an active dive site.
Technically, anchors are allowed here. There was a free mooring ball available so an anchor is entirely unnecessary.
The anchor dropped on top of the Coral restoration Foundation’s primary outplant area.
The chain was wrapped around a section of nearby coral and was untangled by my group. Coral would have been destroyed.‬

‪Professional, Personable and Safe‬

‪I had training classes arranged through another dive shop (Scuba Fun) and my Guide and I were booked on Conch Republic Divers to go out to the various dive sites. The boat was very clean and the crew were very professional and personable. They assisted myself and my Instructor even though we were with another dive shop. The last few days of the trip, my dive shop had asked me which boat company I wanted to dive with. Earlier we had dove with a larger outfit and the rest of the time it was with Conch Republic. Without missing a beat I stated I wanted to finish out my dives with Conch Republic! I am looking forward to diving with them next year! ‬

‪Fun dives‬

‪First time diving with CRD. The staff was super friendly and created a relaxed environment. The check-in process took about 5 minutes. We were assisted with loading gear on the boat. Dove a double dip on the Spiegel Grove. The diving was fun without being managed by other dive pros nor were we required to dive with a DM.

Overall, great experience allowing patrons to enjoy ourselves. Would definitely recommend and will be back for repeat business.‬

‪Dive shop‬

‪Ok so I’ve dove with LOTS of dive companies in Florida and I have to say hands down this is without a doubt the BEST !!!! Ive dove when it was owned by the previous owners it was ok, but since Ashley and Dave have bought it is is nothing short of phenomenal. The shop is so much nicer, it’s bright and welcoming with lots of great merchandise (including rip ties, she the only retail seller, and ladies if you’re not familiar look them up !!) Now onto the staff there is not much to say other than AMAZING…Of course Ashley and Dave’s bright smiles usually greets you when you walk in, or you may see the great bearded face of Christian. Then of course there is Captain Mark and Jason both fantastic, then Kyle, Bob and Jake :) the ENTIRE staff and crew are overly accommodating and friendly. I just cant say enough about this dive outfit. It is my go to shop, my home away from home !!!‬
