Construction and mud surrounding us. Swings were broken and there wasn’t much to do. Not suitable as a tourist attraction. I wouldn’t even go here as a local.

Very nice well maintained park with beautiful scenery. We didn't have time for any hikes so just drove through and stopped at the visitors center.
We plan to go back and see some of the waterfalls and do a little hiking.

The kids and I went to Helen but the best part of the trip was zip lining at Unicoi State Park. Ethan and Cameron were super profesional and funny. Even if you are afraid of highs, they make you feel safe all the time. We will definitely come back to do a higher level.

Beautiful park with great staff. RV sites were easy to access and plenty of room between each one. Check in was a breeze and the clerk was very helpful and knowledgeable. We can not wait to go back.

Beautiful stop while in Helen! It's about $5.00 per person to get in, but it's well worth it. Many great picnic spots off the road to stop along the river. Beautiful sights too!

Beautiful area fall follage! Entry fee 5.. some construction on way up to falls. Fairly handicap assessable.. got halfway up to falls before it got to steep. Paved walkways. Got to see veSuty. Very happy

Thank you for the review but Anna Ruby Falls is a federal USFS park and we at Unicoi are a state of Georgia state park.

We tent camped. The spots are big. Some sites offer privacy. Clean. We did not go to the restaurant or lodge. My only complaint is they have one bath house per loop. I would have had to walk thru the woods on a path that was kind of steep to get there. Not a safe thing to do at night and for me it was not possible because of my age and disability. But other than that it was great. I would go back but would hope I could get a spot closer to the bathroom.

This has changed a bit inside. No longer do they have the buffet. There is a new restaurant inside, which is ok. I didn't see the quilts hanging up last time either.

Thank you for the review. We still do buffets when business volume dictates and the quilts were always on a consignment basis until the owner started their own store in downtown Helen. Its been many years since they started that business downtown. Again, thank you for your review.

My son and his girlfriend went zip lining with the Screaming Eagle Aerial Adventures at the Unicoi State Park and had an awesome time. My husband and I enjoyed wandering around the lodge and the beautiful scenery of the park.

Zip lines are a must, make sure to do the level 3, guides were very good, first time for me and my wife zip lining and we did all three levels.

Was planning on taking a motorcycle trip to Helen. Was gonna just gonna ride through the state park. Any good places to pull over and see the lake or good spots to hang out? Thanks

Yes, there is or was I believe a fishing dock and a small park playground on the southwest shore of the lake next to the roadway and lake dam near some the lake cabins in the pines...

How far is it from RV campsites (site #25) to the ziplines?
We are looking at parking the motorhome and riding our bicycles.

Sorry, I was only in the park for a couple of hours to hike, so I have no idea about the campsites or ziplines.
Are you allowed to bring your own paddle boards and are you allowed to go freely or do you have to be on the guided tour? Also are dogs allowed

There are boat ramps for your own craft. I am not sure about dogs.

Do you have to pay two separate admissions to see Ana Ruby Falls (Unicoi and Falls admission)?

to go to Unicoi Park you can just drive thu or pay for parking. If you go to Ana Ruby falls yes you pay or as oldies you use your Golden Eagle pass. So worth it!! I h0pe that helps Gizella
Are there cabins for rent or grilling areas?

Yes they have three different types of cabins, one, two and three bedroom types. They have very unique shaped barrel cabins on the east side of the lake. All areas have grills.
