This park was amazing! Really calming and peaceful. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a nice walk and a great little stop to see nature.

Nice paved walking trails, nice play ground. Lots of open grass for play areas. Nice pond with ducks. Good place to take children. Park is heavily used. They could do with more parking spaces.

Great location. We live about 1 mile from this park. The maintenance crew have done a fantastic job. We have taken many family photo sessions as well as have seen many take them as well.
There are two trails - 0.7 mi and 1.2 mi which is great. Sometimes we just want to do multiple laps around the 0.7 mi which goes around the lake or if you want to run then their's the 1.2 mi option.
As mentioned earlier, great place for a walk and/or run.

Gwinnett has some of the best parks in GA! This is one of them! Trails are paved and you will not be disappointed.

Best Neighborhood park ever! Wonderful walking trails. Interactive children's playground. Very convenient location and plenty of parking. Once there, you feel a great sense of clam and relaxation. Love this place!

Beautiful park for walking with someone you love. It has a little bit of new mixed with some old and its been there for many years.

Our first visit here to walk our dog and it was a great place. We went around every path to see the unexpected beauty. This park is a hidden gem!

My wife and I were recently in Suwanee and visited Sims Lake Park. The centerpiece of this 62-acre park is a beautiful seven-acre lake. It was a sunny day and my wife and I enjoyed a picnic lunch and then took a stroll around the lake on the paved 1.2-mile looping (mostly level) trail. It’s a great place to just sit, relax, and enjoy one another’s company. Very peaceful just watching the geese/ducks swim on the lake. We saw lots of moms with their kids enjoying the playground. Located at 4600 Suwanee Dam Road, Sims Lake Park is very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our afternoon visit. Plenty of parking; Open daily; Highly recommend.
Amenities you will find include:
1-Kid’s playground (Partially covered); restrooms close by
2-Pavilion with picnic tables
3-1.2 mile paved loop trail
4-Trail is Dog friendly (must be on a leash)
5-Park benches strategically placed along the trail
6-Seven acre Lake with dock
7-Individual picnic tables in shaded areas throughout the park
8-Modern art sculptures found around the park and a Streamscape

We are blessed to have such a great park so close to our home. Love the beautiful location and the walking trails. Plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy. The kids playground looks like a lot of fun for people with children.
