I use to love this place. I have been 4-5 times I would say. Typically I would get the klx 140. The last time I went I ended up with a crf 150 because they could not get the klx to start, which is fine.
After a few laps I decided it was too muddy/slippery for a bike. So they swapped it for for a atv. Not long after pulling off in it I realized it was not steering correctly. I tried to deal with it, I’ve spend my life making the best out of every situation. So yes I was on it for a bit until the bent steering column almost caused me to roll it. Just like the group of teen girls did on a side by side they rented. They left covered in blood.
I took it back and they started saying that I wrecked it. Even the guy that brought it out told myself and them it did not feel right when he brought it out but everyone else just lied to save their own ass. Apparently it was not inspected or inspected well enough. You got so many people in there the staff can’t possibly keep up or do their jobs correctly even if they wanted to.
The owner came down and said we could leave and go to court or pay for it and keep riding.
Long story short, I ended up paying for something I didn’t mess up and the man was so “salty” about the situation that we did not get to continue riding. He had them check in our rentals and we left.
I now have my own bike and I was thinking of taking it here but then I remembered this from the last time I was there. I will miss having such a extensive place to ride but I think I will find another place for my girlfriend and I to go. People that drive hours to get there shouldn’t be treated the way they do and paying for things they did not break because employees can’t do their jobs. I would leave a negative star if I could.

30 degree weather, power at our cabin went out around 9pm. This place has zero staff working after hours and no way to contact anyone. My husband, who is a Maintenance Engineer, and 4 other men could not find how to get the power back on. The fuse box inside the cabin did nothing. We had to leave. It was a huge disappointment, ruined our trip. They did refund our lodging fee, but offered no other service recovery. We spent hours driving and eating out to come there. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

If you have an ATV, UTV, or a dirtbike, they seem to have some really great track and trail options. If you are into rock crawling, on the other hand, I recommend that you find somewhere else to go. The 4 x 4 trails are all just rutted out mud holes. The first time I went, I couldn’t figure out why they didn’t take a skid steer down there and put some dirt back in those holes but I figured out why on my second trip there. Where they make their money is when you sink in one of those 4 foot deep water holes and need them to help you pull your truck out. A couple of con artists will ride down there on four wheelers laughing like vultures and they will rob you blind. They do offer to give you their personal cell phone numbers, though, so that you can call them direct next time you get stuck and get their “cash discount” (aka free money for them that they steel from their boss). $400 later, you could have went to a real trail somewhere nicer.

This was our second time going to Durhamtown and we stayed for two days. We arrived the day after several days of rain so the trails were like driving in oatmeal. Which is fine, just make sure you bring a change of clothes! The trails are well marked, maintained and there are a lot of trails to ride. We will be back for more fun in the near future!
Things to keep in mind:
1) Bring extra clothes
2) Buy tokens to pressure wash your equipment when you purchase your day pass
3) Wear shoes you don’t care about getting dirty. When it has not rained, the dust is unbelievable and everywhere.
Have Fun!!

I have been here twice. Once for ATV use and recently for the Jeep park. Both times were a great experience. So many options that you could go several days and not see it all. The red Georgia clay is nasty, but fun and challenging at the same time. The washing station is a great idea for the end of your day. It won’t take off all the clay, but it does a good job as a start! Definitely a fun place and one we will visit again when in the area. For us, the staff was knowledgeable and professional. We didn’t have any of the issues mentioned in other reviews on either occasion. A must do in our book!

Some friends and I headed to DP for first time and loved it! I can’t believe you can have that much fun in one place! It is a sportsman’s dream! Weather was rough first day and trails were super slick but it helped make us better riders! Decided to come back a second day because we had so much fun! My favorite things to do were to ride on the lower skill MX tracks so I can slowly build up my nerve and also the dirt drag strip! The strip is perfect for settling the bet between buddies talking trash! I thought the food was good and the store was reasonably priced. I loved the trip and will be back next time bringing the family!

We visited Durhamtown during Spring Break 2019 (Mar 31st - Apr 3rd). Our group consisted of two families: My wife, our 12 year old daughter and me, along with our friends (husband & wife & 14 year old son). In total, we brought two Polaris RZR's, one Can Am Maverick, and one Polaris ACE. Long story short: Durhamtown was the most fun we've ever had riding ATV's! As far as perspective is concerned, we've ridden Hatfield McCoy in WV, Carolina Adventure World in SC, Busco Beach in NC, and Slade's Park in VA.
What makes Durhamtown so much fun is all of the various tracks and the well-manicured trails. We rode on seven different tracks while we were there, and those weren't even all of them. By far, the most fun was on the GP track. We rode on that track for hours and hours each day. It's very addicting because you get a little better each time you go around and you can catch some nice air on several of the jumps. Our kids didn't want to do anything else but ride that track. We had to make them come ride the trails with us. There's also a wooden deck/bleachers at the highest point on the track where you can sit and watch riders on the track. On our next trip, we are going to dedicate a whole day just to spend on that track (it's that much fun).
All of the tracks and trails we rode were very well maintained. It's obvious that this park devotes the majority of their resources on their tracks and trails (but not as much on the lodging, unfortunately). The trails were very well marked (best I've seen) and were also nicely groomed. They are designed to be fast rather than a bunch of rutted-out muddy torn up sections. There are whoops along most of the trails so there's plenty of catching air. The trails are also one-way, which is very important to me (for safety). One of my biggest gripes about Hatfield McCoy is that their trails are bi-directional.
There is a restaurant onsite (Beverly's Kitchen), but it is only open on the weekends. Fortunately for us, they decided to open the restaurant all week because it was Spring Break. Having the restaurant available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was a HUGH bonus and made our experience much better than it would have been. The nearest (decent) restaurant is 40 minutes away. It was so nice having a full breakfast and hot coffee each morning. Their biscuits are homemade, huge, and delicious!! Also, after a long day of riding, it was convenient to simply walk over to the restaurant and have a nice dinner.
The only reason I rated Durhamtown "very good" and not "excellent" was due to their lodging. Perhaps we are a bit spoiled and prefer a more "refined" lodging experience, but the vast majority of lodging at Durhamtown is comprised of old campers, mobile homes, and cabins that were used by hunters when the property was used as a hunting destination. We stayed in the Conways Camp, which is comprised of three small old dingy RV campers with a wooden facade. As you can imagine, the shower was tiny and the water pressure was so low that my wife couldn't even wash her hair. Our camper was heated via two small plug-in space heaters which would trip the circuit breakers if you didn't plug them in on seperate circuits. Also, on our last night, the power went out completely on our camper and we froze all night. There was no after-hours phone number posted anywhere, and there were no employees on site we could notify. Turns out the main breaker inside the panel that fed the camper went bad, and was promptly fixed the next morning after we notified the staff. The staff was very apologetic and gave us breakfast that morning on-the-house. When the owner, Mike, found out, he provided us with a substantial refund (more than we expected). We were VERY appreciative of this. Durhamtown's response to our issue exceeded our expectations.
When we return to Durhamtown, we plan to stay at Mike's House, or The Suite Bedroom, or Kayes Keep which are the nicest places to stay. Unfortunately, they are also very expensive (relative to lodging at other ATV parks). Basically, we see the lodging at Durhamtown as being the "tradeoff" for riding on the best tracks and trails that we've ever experienced. The nicest cabins we've stayed in were at Carolina Adventure World, and Twin Hollow Campground (Hatfield McCoy), but the riding (in our opinion) is not as fun as Durhamtown.
Also, when we return to Durhamtown, we plan to stay for three full days (four nights). Two full days (three nights) were not enough. We spent too much time on all of the tracks and we were not able to ride all of the trails. For families who are disciplined and determined to ride everything, you could probably do it in two days, but you'd have to hurry. We like to be more casual and relaxed, and therefore, we need three days to cover all that Durhamtown has to offer. Plus, we plan to rent dirt bikes next time so that we can ride on all of the "dirt bike only" tracks and trails.
All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Durhamtown, and we are already planning our return trip. We highly recommend Durhamtown!

I left a separate review for the “hotel” side and this is just for the “attraction” side.
They make a killing at this, you have to pay for every little thing and it isn’t that cheap.
Boys loved all the trails, different stuff to try out. Woods, tracks, trails, MX, drag racing.... so they had a blast.
BIGGEST COMPLAINT... they say riding must stop around 5:30 to be off the tracks by 6:00pm. So with nothing else around and if your camping there is absolutely nothing to do the rest of the night. And to top it off there must be some special select people that can ride as long as they want. We made sure our boys followed the directions but other people rode til 8ish. I think stopping at 6pm in the summer is crazy, first for the price and second it’s Summer and stays light til 9pm. They should let them ride til 8pm.
I’m glad the boys enjoyed it and I hope they made good memories because I doubt we will ever make that 3 hr drive again for it.
Was supposed to stay Friday and Saturday night and since riding is over at 5:30 we packed up and left Saturday evening- nothing else there to do- would rather be driving/riding than staring at each other.
It cost $2 for 6 minutes but I am glad they had a pressure washing station there. For $8 we got the Quads decently clean. Still had to wash when We got home, but they were much easier.
Bathhouses aren’t like pictures on their website.
All staff members were super nice so that was definitely a plus .
