Lack of guest service and lack of skills..I had bio sculpture manicure, Ilva bio sculpture certified manicurist just filed my nails and put aceton on, everything without any conversation with me, I understand that everybody can have bad day, but then she went to another room to do another client's pedicure and she was very talkative and smiling.. then lady who worked there since 1 month and as I saw didn't know a thing about manicure did the rest, she didn't even use the tools to take off the excess of a gel, didn't use primer before and didn't use cuticle oil after ...the ladies working there didn't seem to be helpful for her, she was nice but she didn't know how to do good her job. It might be nothing special for a suburb or village spa but not a downtown.! I paid, I left a tip, because I'm that kind of person..but thank You no more Stil Salon and Spa!!

In town for an event my daughter and I wandered out to find a place to get a quick manicure. We had no appointment but they took us in right away. They were very friendly and the place was clean and peaceful. They took a little longer than we would have liked and it cost more than some other places, but in the end it turned out to be worth it. It was one of the best manicures I have ever had! It lasted more than a week with no chips and it looked wonderful. Would definitely return when back in Chicago.

I came to Stil twice while visiting Chicago and my first experience was fantastic, my technician was attentive, careful and very thorough, she did a very good job that is why i scheduled another appointment. Second time, with a Latvian lady, i believe her name was Irina, was awful. Nail polish on my hands pilled off on the same evening, even my fiance noticed how horribly my hands looked. She rushed me to leave and didn't offer a proper way to make sure that the nail polish on my toes would stay, by the time i got home, all the toes had imprints of my shoes on them. I had to take the nail polish off immediately. I guess, it is either hit or miss, perhaps, because i wasn't a regular client. I won't come back.

I had the pleasure of receiving a mani/pedi while visiting my daughter in Chicago. The salon was clean, professional and my manicure is still going strong, well after two weeks. I highly recommend them for a relaxing and enjoyable visit.
