True links course in very good condition. Modern clubhouse. Bar service very slow. Facilities good and generally welcoming

What an excellent golf course snd superbly managed golf club .
Professional shop staff are friendly and efficient.

Played the course today. Was in immaculate condition. Greens were slick and true.
I played one of the local Open Venues a couple of days ago it was great but no better than West Lancashire GC.
This course is appreciated locally but further afield perhaps its not as well known. I would encourage anyone wanting to experience tough, fair, true links golf of the highest standard give it a try. I am confident you won't be disappointed.
The staff in the bar and the Professional were very friendly.
Special mention to the official starter who was really helpful before and after my round

I played here (again) as part of a covid delayed golf trip to the NW. Wherever you golf in the NW you will be missing a gem if you don't play here. Very much understated compared to some of the Open courses nearly but no less of a challenge and overall my fourth visit and if we visited the NW again we would play it again - it really is that good. Very competitively priced and a good test ond benign day let alone a windy one!

My first time at West Lancs and I was not disappointed. The course has always had a great reputation but I would place this course in my top ten of great links courses in the UK. Absolutely superb course and hard to found a fault. The Starter was extremely friendly and interested in our golf games and a great way to start our day. We played 36 holes and enjoyed every minute of the course. Friendly staff in the Clubhouse. A must play.

Played a round with my son who had played the course before - I had not. It exceeded my expectations both in quality of the holes and condition - it holds its own with its more famous neighbours. The staff were very welcoming, providing excellent service and food. Would readily go again.

An absolute brute of a golf course, one to test your golfing skills to the up most. In pristine condition with a lot of effort put into the presentation of the course. If going take plenty of golf balls, a real test even for the most accomplished golfer.

Our group of 18 visited West Lancs on the 18th September and we could not have had a better day, the staff were welcoming, friendly and assisted me greatly in organising the day.
The course, in my opinion is one of the best in the area, we played Lytham & St Anne's and Hoylake during our stay and West Lancs was certainly in the same league but far more welcoming.

Very slick operation for our society. Staff great , starter was super helpful could not be nicer
The course is great but it is hard and punishing. Would not mark down the faculty for this. We played on a windy day which just made it even harder
Take plenty of balls and don’t beat yourself up if the course is cruel to you, enjoy the fact you are playing a top course

(8) of us just got done playing (6) rounds of golf and West Lancashire was a real unexpected treat. The course was in good shape and we had members as our caddies which was great. They obviously knew the course and we got some history and insight on the club. The course has several beautiful holes and views of the ocean.
I would play this course over some of the Royals.
