We brought a group of college students here for a field trip, and it did not disappoint. Originally we wanted to do a milking class, but the cow was not ready in time, so they provided us with an in depth tour of the entire farm. We got to work with all of the animals, which was enlightening and fun for everyone involved. Overall it was a great experience!

Place seemed pretty run down. Not a lot of animals. Most were not accessible. Not a lot to do. Wouldn't give us a tractor ride because we weren't part of the day camp. No worth the trip.

A day trip here is such fun! Goats, Chickens and a visit into our farm history! Fun for the kiddos! They even have annual Barn Dances with Pies contests! Great fun for all involved. The Barn Dance is a fantastic clever date night idea!

If you land here on a random weekday, as we did, you won't find much in the way of organized tours or activites. It's a small area, but you can visit a barn, explore it with young kids. Find things for yourself and touch them to see how they work. There is a very small house with old refrigerator, stove, sewing machine. All accessible, and no one there to tell us not to touch things, the kids enjoyed and learned a lot on their own.

Went here with a kindergarten class on a field trip. Hay ride, sheep, giant horses, chickens and pigs. This farm shows how farms were run many years ago including showing examples of antique farm equipment.

Great place to take the kids to see how a 1900's farm worked. Real animals are there to great you as you tour the farm and the tools that were used. They even have sleigh rides and hay rides depending on the season

We accidently stumbled on this 1930's working farm in St Charles, Illinois. Its is part of their Park District and a living history museum where visitors may experience the day to day practices of farm life in the early 1900's.
The scenery and authentic remaining structures of this small 100 acre farm gives us the chance to see how many people made their living and fed their families in what was then a very common, but now quickly disappearing, way of life.
The ability to reconnect with our past is demonstrated in the every day farm chores of milking cows, feeding livestock, growing and harvesting crops, cooking that produce, collecting eggs, and maintaining buildings. Its a great way to get real hands on experience for the whole family.
