‪Baratang and Cinque island are other two isolated islands and rarely explored in Andaman.
If you are looking to explore the unexplored Andaman head here.

‪Cinque Island is the gem of Andamans. If you find yourself stuck in Port Blair, I suggest take a trip to Cinque Island. It will take 2.5-3 hours to reach here from Port Blair, so one can easily plan a day trip to Cinque Island. But keep in mind that one needs a special permit from government to visit this island, and getting a permit can get somewhat tricky if you don't know anyone locally. Once at Cinque Island, you will have the whole island to indulge in some snorkeling and scuba. It is worth it, so do visit!‬

‪We reached here via ship from port blair and then took a ferry to see the island entirely. The breeze and the waters here is amazing. One must visit here if visiting andamans and have 3-4 days of trip and have a day to spare.‬

‪Gear up for an ultimate experience of a lifetime. Night stay on an uninhabited island where you, your loved ones and natural surrounds. White sand beaches, alluring coral reefs, and vast open sea could be a dream of many. The coral reefs and bird populations here are virtually untouched by man. One among the most liked island in the Andaman Archipelago, Cinque Island approximately 5.4 km from Rutland Island is your pick for this trip. The rocky isles and sand bar here is a treat to see and experience. The untouched beaches attract tourists from all over the globe. This is an ideal destination to snorkel and dive. Angle giant GT's, black marlins and tiger Cobras during this amazing fishing trip.‬

‪This pair of islands is where heaven on earth is, if there is ever! Shame though that we couldn't get down and could barely pass it on ferry. But definitely gonna make time for it next time.‬

‪I visited this lovely island with my friends in Feb this year . It is a 1 hour drive from Portblair in car/ van and then 1 hour journey in the boat .

Wow , we were spell bound by the serenity of the island . What a clean and clear beach it was . Was filled with lot of corals and fishes . We had a full day there and it was a lovely experience and we were the only ones in the island . Felt like we have been lost in a remote island far away . But you have to get the necessary permission from the forest department which your local guide will do .

If you want to escape from the crowded and high tech jungles of the modern city , this island is a must visit .

If any one familiar with Tamil Cinema , this was the place where the final scene of the Movie ' Nanban ' was shot .

Actually the movie inspired us to visit this place .

If you have time in Portblair , see that you visit this place , will be a life time experience . ‬

‪Imagine an island, completely uninhabited, with lush forests and white sand and the bluest waters you have ever seen. That is Cinque for you.

To start off, we have heard of Cinque island, from several diving websites, but we couldn't get too many details out of it. I will try to be as elaborate as possible.

Cinque Island is actually two islands, North and South Cinque islands, connected by a narrow sandbar, hence often referred to as a single Cinque Island.

To get there you need a special permit from the department of forestry (check images for a sample). It is incredibly hard to get this permission, but we had an amazing lot of help from InfinityScuba (infinityscubaandamans.com) to get all the necessary permits.
They also arranged for our dives in Rutland Island on the same day, and arranged a picnic for us in Cinque. The water around Cinque has one of the clearest there is (about 80 feet of visibility) . You can see a great variety of fishes and corals clearly , if you can snorkel. The water is calm, and it is beautiful.

Overall the trip is going to be expensive, since you need to charter a boat , and get the permit, but it is completely worth it, and it is an experience which you will not forget in a lifetime.

Note : This is as close to raw nature as you can expect; there are no washrooms, changing rooms, or places to sit. Bring plenty of drinking water, mats and tissues if you plan to stay long.‬

‪There are few islands in Andamans which can be visited only with permission. One such Island is CINQUE island. It is very Beautiful island.Very cleanly maintained .An exclusive boat was arranged for us,with permission from Forest department to travel from Wandoor. It took little more than 3 hours to reach cinque island. We reached there at around 12.30 hrs.We had organised a seperate smaller boats for exploring Corals and other rich sea /marine life through the glass planes. There is no human inhabitation in cinque island.Cinque island is south of Chiryu We were lucky to have a quick glimse of Dolphins.Sunset is enjoyable.North & south islands connected to each other by a giant sand bar--Cinque.Infact it is point for twin islands of north & south. We were back to Wandoor little behind the scheduled time. Not adhering to scheduled time of return -after sunset may land you in problem. So one should maintain time of return. We enjoyed an exclusive journey with our group of people.A rare opportunity to visit Cinque Island.‬
