Ik en mijn vader kwamen aan bjj Baan Wijngaard op fiets; het was warm 31 graden. Even uitpuffen. We bestelden druivensap. Helaas vonden we hem niet lekker, ik vond het lijken of het al te lang in de fles zat. Ben van het terras naar binnen gegaan, met de nog halfvolle glazen, om dit aan te geven. Schouderophalend en bozig werd het glas door een vrouwelijke lid van de familie Baan(?) aangenomen. Ik werd verder genegeerd. Ben terug naar het terras gegaan. Mijn vader, slechthorend en slechtziend heeft afgerekend, bij het weggaan werd verteld dat het eigen oogst was. Hier had ik geen idee van. Andere smaak dus als ik gewend ben, maar ben desondanks van mening dat de druivensap een nasmaak had doordat het te lang in de fles zat. Misschien handig om te vermelden dat het eigen oogst is? Verder vond ik de oudere vrouw, die ons bediende erg lomp en onvriendelijk!!

Een vriendelijke ontvangst met koffie en krentewegge.
Dan een prachtige wandeling met keuze uit drie afstanden en daarna een lekkere lunch.

Hartelijk ontvangst. Ligt aan fietsroute rondje wierden. Kop koffie genuttigd. Op moment van bezoek waren ook twee families met camper op doorreis. Beide families waren eveneens verrast wat omgeving te bieden had.
Wijngaard lag wat verlaten bij, niet verwonderlijk in februari.

I visited here with a group of friends. We had booked to come as a group, and we had paid for a light lunch with tea or coffee in the small tea and coffee room, a short tour and talk about the grapes, and what happens to them after they have been picked, and then finally a wine tasting experience.
This place is in a peaceful area of the countryside, and is slightly off the beaten track. Thankfully, there are a couple of signs along the country lanes to tell you which direction to go for the vineyard. The vineyard is quite large, but the building where they make and bottle the wine is quite small in comparison. The wine tasting experience was very interesting. Most of the wines I tasted were not really to my liking, tasting rather like vinegar, but I am sure that sometimes it is an acquired taste, before you start to like them. But my first taste of most of them was not all that special because I could not get used to the taste of them. Before we left, one of my friends bought a bottle of one of the wines we had tasted and another friend bought a small jar of wine jelly. Both the bottle and the jar were expensive in my opinion, but my friends seemed pleased with their purchases. We were lucky that the weather was great on the day that we visited, and we all had an interesting and pleasant time here. I will recommend it to others but I do not think that I will return here myself.
