Greens in great shape. Fairways brown and very slow to come in this spring. Good rates. Carts in good shape. Snack bar. Dogs, burgers and quick food. Pro shop. Driving range.

One of the best courses around and it is owned by the Town of Clarksville. Good pro shop. Good carts. Driving range. Greens in good condition. Challenging. Sand traps could use more sand. Some water and elevation changes makes holes tough. Snack bar available. Heavy wooded on both sides of course encourages in the fairway hitting. Nice course that I play often.

This is a fairly basic tree lined course. It is mostly flat but a few hidden creeks and low spots in the fairways. All the greens are slightly elevated and the green side bunker areas all pretty flat. I thought they had a good mixture of doglegs and straight holes.
Pros:
...Bentgrass greens are in great shape.
...Green.side bunkers are well-groomed and in good shape.
...Fairways were dormant Bermuda and I thought they were in great shape.
...Nice flat driving range in the middle of the property and they had a good practice green and bunker.
Cons:
...Nice hole diagrams on the tee, but I think many of them seemed to show the hole backwards.
...The rough had a few bare spots but not too bad.
...The hidden hazards got me every time (creeks across the fairways and bunkers in the landing areas that you cannot see from the tee box).
...The white tees were too short and the blue tees were too long for this senior golfer. They should develop a set of combo tees and split the difference in yardage
...I really dislike the gas powered carts they have. They are noisy and disrupt the peace and quiet.
...I found it hard to determine yardages. 200, 150, and 100 yards were marked on the cart path and there were 150 yard bushes on each side of the fairway. But I only found a few sprinkler heads and none of them were marked with yardages.

Wooded View is a great place to play golf. I played the course yesterday and it is in great shape. The people there work very hard to keep the course in great shape and try and make your colf an enjoyable experience. Reasonable rates
