This Robert Trent Jones course on the outskirts of Columbus is a great layout. Typical RTJ design with lots of bunkers, big and tricky greens, but wide fairways and no tricked-up holes. Very reasonably priced for a topnotch course. The best place we played on our recent golf trip

first off,,the course was an awesome lay out,multiple tee box options based on your handicap,,,parking was easy,,staff was great,,nice warm up options such as driving range,,putting greens,,chipping greens,sand trap area,,carts were new and smooth,,course marshals were very friendly and helpful,,we played all 3 mins and just loved our day,,pace was moving well,,i could not have been more pleased

Played in mid-August. The course shape was just OK. The hot weather is taking it's toll. The greens were very slow. The track was excellent and well worth the trip. We played all 27 and enjoyed all of them. Rumor has it they are closing the East. I hope not. It is a very nice layout and fun to play. The staff was amazing and be sure to grab an Otter burger.

I just finished up my 28th golf trip to Otter Creek over the last 31 years. This course has always been in pretty good shape, sometimes in great shape, pretty much depending on the winter and spring weather. I always come in early May. This course is 27 holes of great,beautiful golf. The bar/ restaurant is good and We all love Margaret’s great service.

smooth fairways , lots of roll. great greens. stay out of the rough. I really enjoyed my round. I would like to return for another round of golf

Course was in great shape. Excellent layout. Staff was very friendly. Went above and beyond to accommodate the group of 48.

A group of myself and 23 friends make this trip to Otter Creek every year because it's a great course with a great staff. We played 45 holes on Friday and 36 on Sunday. It never gets old because of the great condition and the 3 different nines at the course. The east course is more of a links style and consistently eats my lunch. The groundskeepers seem to care a lot about the condition because they'll bark at you if you park your cart too close to the green or go off the paths near the tee boxes. I think they could handle that a little differently since no one likes to be barked at or berated.

Otter Creek Golf Course has been ranked among the top 25 public golf courses in the U.S. since its inception in 1964.
Renowned golf course designers Robert Trent Jones and Rees Jones created this magnificent 27-hole championship course in harmony with Southern Indiana’s existing land. Utilizing the natural contours of the land ensures all golfers a great challenge. Jones has distinguished Otter Creek as a championship golf course unique to all others.
Otter Creek, a public golf course always in tournament condition, has been rated among the top public courses in the U.S. since its inception in 1964. Located in the midst of a serene countryside, Robert Trent Jones Sr. created the original 18 holes of this championship course. His design harmonizes the gently rolling hills of southern Indiana with adding his incredible knowledge of the game by utilizing the existing contours of the land to ensure that each shot is as natural as it could possibly be. Robert’s son, Rees Jones, was given the challenge of designing an additional 9 holes that would compliment his father’s original course. Opened in June of 1995, the result is a “Links” look that is as challenging as the original design.
The RT Jones 18 would be the more popular, but the "East" 9 by Rees Jones are a favorite of mine. So you get to decide for yourself.
Location of the course is several miles east of Columbus is has location signs in several places on IN St Rd 46.
