Apologies for the delay in answering your question, the Monument and Museum gardens have no entrance fee, entry to the cottage garden and "new gardens" is included as part of your museum and Birthplace cottage entry.

The Monument is important architecturally. Built in 1823 it was designed by Thomas Hamilton who also designed the Royal High School on Edinburgh's Carlton Hill. There is a viewing platform from which you can observe the gardens and the Brig o' Doon. We begin restoration work later in the year at which point there will be temporary closures but when completed will restore her to her former glory. You may want to visit now and again next year to see the "before & after"

Hello Assistance Dogs are welcome throughout the site, All Dogs are welcome in the Museum and Cottage Gardens if kept on a lead, we have tables and chairs outside at the museum café so you can still enjoy coffee or a meal accompanied by your 4 legged friends

The Robert Burns birthplace museum is wheelchair accessable. The main entrance has a pad operated door for disabled access and so has the exit into the gardens. The building houses the gift shop and cafe as well as the museum which is free to national trust members. The nearby Monument gardens could be access by wheelchair but there are steep sections which could make it difficult to manage alone.
