Up close to most of the animals. Grandkids loved it. Good value for the money compared to a zoo. Good variety of animals.

People should look beyond the wagon ride and see the condition of the animals in the petting area. Many are sick with respiratory infections, or have puss coming out of one of their eyes, are filthy /covered in feces, and look exhausted or weak. Some are tied to a post allowing them about 12" to move all day. Most did not have water dishes, and the one that I did see wasn't clean. Some animals are so thin their bones are very pronounced...many people commented on this. Not sure if they're not fed well or if they are also sick. There was a dead bird lying on the base of one of the bird cages...it had been there awhile.
I know they've been reported in the past...I hope others will also hold them accountable. Sad environment for the animals here. Let's teach our kids the importance of properly caring for animals and not just using them for amusement or to make money.

Though this is a place children love because of the opportunity to pet, hold and feed a wide variety of animals, I do not recommend going here. Too many animals have injuries and illness, enclosures are too small, water is either not available or extremely dirty, hooves and beaks are not trimmed, more than one animal had large untreated sores, one bull has horns so large he can barely hold his head up, and there is little to no shade for many of the animals. I saw so many examples of animals not being treated well that I felt bad for being there. If the animals were better cared for and given better living conditions I would say it's a neat place to visit. My daughter has a great time but she is oblivious to all of above.

Great day trip for us and the kids to be able to pet animals! All the Amish workers were super nice and happy to answer an questions we had.

They had lots of animals and told what each one was. They also had a petting area. Kids had a great time but was kind of pricey.

We saw Dutch Creek while driving to Shipshewana. There were 9 of us and decided to stop there on the way back to our Airbnb. So glad we did. It was the highlight of our trip. The horse drawn wagon ride was great. My 87 year old father had the time of his life. They give you large bowls to feed the animals. We fed steers, a yak, camels, ostrich, wildebeests, llamas, zebras, and deer. I’m missing several animals. This is so much better than a zoo!

I am torn over this review since my kids somewhat enjoyed themselves. It is an Amish owned farm that has a lot of farm and exotic animals. First and foremost bring cash because there is an extra fee to use a card. This place has a very small parking lot so it’s not convenient for large vehicles such a bus. They take your group on a wagon ride through a pasture where you will meet zebra’s, cattle, bison, longhorns, ostrich’s, camels, and alpacas. They also have a petting area with ducks, chicks, goats, a bird sanctuary. There are several mix breed animals such as a donkey-zebra, horse-zebra and bison-cattle. You are given a dish to feed the animals from the wagon. The animals will run along side of the horse drawn wagon eating food until the next gated enclosure. I was heartbroken over several of the fox enclosures and the lemur enclosures. They were small and not enough room for the animals to explore. A few of the cattle, horses and alpacas needed a good brushing too. One of the longhorns could barely keep his head up over the weight of his extremely large horns. The owner and staff were super nice and they did have a small gift shop to buy little trinkets and something cold to drink.

Took our 9 month old son. We all had a great time. Animals are friendly and not startled by small children grabbing at them. The people who run it are friendly and helpful.It was a great time. Would take my family back there again. Also highly recommend Ti bring CASH (small bills) to buy animal food. They have a bunch of animals on the property for you to pet and and interact with.

My husband and I had some extra time during a weekend visit to Shipshewana and Middlebury so we decided to check out Dutch Creek Farm Animal Park. Are we glad we did! It is just an amazing place and so fun for all ages. Due to mobility issues, we chose to drive through and it worked perfectly as you are still very close to the animals. In fact, because they are used to being fed by people on the wagon, they are not hesitant to come close to your vehicle. But they were pretty polite and figured out quickly that we did not have food for them.
Except for one rather nosy camel who decided to stick part of his head in my window! Even as I inched closer and closer to my husband's driver seat, we were laughing so hard and were sorry to disappoint the sweet guy.
It's really quite something to see all these grazing animals get along so well whether they are out walking around, eating in the troughs or just together. You can tell these animals are loved and well-cared for.
Also, even though we drove through, the owner said we could go to the petting "zoo" at any time for no extra charge.
We will definitely go back to visit next year and take our grandchildren. People who have seen our pictures get the best smiles on their faces and want to go as well.

Absolutely loved the visit to the animal farm. My two nieces had so much fun feeding all the animals and seeing the more exotic ones up close. The wagon ride is loads of fun. They hand you a bowl of feed and the animals come right up to the side of the wagon. Zebra, ostriches, camels, buffalo come right up and get a bite to eat. All of the staff were super friendly and nice. Such a great and affordable place to visit!

In the zoo and petting zoo area yes. If you take the wagon ride it probably would be best to hold small child.
I am very interested in going but I would like to know the prices before I go

Is the farm still open October 18 and 19? I was planning to go this weekend but I also know they close for thr season mid October.

Well, sort of. I think there were four picnic tables under a small roofed area. not cleaned though, it's an animal park. Lots of people sitting and resting on them. I would not bring food and eat it there.
What are the cirrent admission prices. Thank you
