Really nice disc golf course- great view of downtown from ridge, especially in autumn with the fall foliage in full color.

We had a wonderful experience! Our party included 3 middle school boys and 5 adults ranging from 50-60 years old. The staff was great at explaining the safety features and getting you started. Since it was our first time, they started us on the easiest course. A little challenging, but doable.
The only downside was that a group in front of us chickened out and wanted to get off. For safety reasons, only a limited number of people could be on the platforms and there was no way to get around them. We probably waited 20+ minutes for the staff to help the others get off. But after, we were given more time to go through the courses and it was actually less crowded then. Would love to go back!

Trails are beautiful and marked well. I managed to get about 2.5 miles in. I will go back the next time I visit South Bend.

I used to go here to enjoy time with my friends. You can bike over there or take your car. It is a good place.

My family and I went to Rum Village Park on June 2017, for my 10 year olds birthday. We had gone last year and she was super bummed she was not old enough to go on the blue level obstacles (you have to be 10 years old) of the aerial park. So when her birthday approached, she was all over coming back!
This park is extremely well done, with every safety feature thought of. The staff do an excellent job of outfitting you in the harnesses and ensuring you have the right equipment.
The obstacles are so much fun and challenging! I am in extremely good shape and enjoyed every second of our 3 hour tour. You push yourself to new extremes and every second is a blast!
The courses are really well thought out and perfectly built. My daughters had the time of their lives!
This is a really great place to take kids as they exert energy and work hard! They also offer birthday parties.
I recommend this to everyone looking for something different and exciting!

This is a great park for a short hike in the tall trees. The park offers more than hikes including mountain bike trails, playgrounds, Frisbee golf course, and zip lines.

This is a great way to spend a few hours. The course is both fun and challenging. The staff really stays on top of things to help and encourage when needed.

The ropes course is fun & invigorating. Bonus: you don't feel like you're working out, but it's certainly great exercise.
There are varying levels of difficulty, from beginner to advanced. The staff is very friendly and safety minded.
Some ropes courses at the advanced level rely upon utilizing upper body strength. That's not the case at Rum Village. Instead, I'd say it relies more on balance.
The entire time, though it feels perilous, you're safe thanks to a harness system which doesn't allow you to unhinge until you've reached the end.
Yes, staff is available for rescues and they are able to unhinge you from the system if need be.
The ropes course consists of several ziplines, cable walls, and aerial obstacle courses.
I feel like the designers did a good job protecting the trees.
I'd recommend scheduling in advance on their website to ensure a timeslot is available when you'd like to visit.
Check height restrictions for kids and weight restrictions for adults.
Bring bug spray and some water.
There are restrooms, a picnic area, and a playground available.
The staff mentioned that they may be incorporating season passes in 2017.

We had a great time doing the new ropes course. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and fun and the course itself is great. I've done lots of these aerial ropes courses before and this met our expectations: stating basic and working up to challenging so that it is great for beginners and more experienced people. Water and bug spray was provided and we had a lot of fun!
