Well worth a visit. Very beautiful gardens and the lake that surround it. Admission costs two euros. Recommended. During the weekend it could be very busy.

prices so high, quality so pooor. Stupid of me to go there. At the restaurant we where treated like junksby some waiter. If you want to have a good time DON'T GO THERE

This place is so quiet and relazing. The way to the castle is through the park which is like a forest. There is a perfect place for walks or picnic. The castle is special and there is also a restaurant inside it. You can arrive at Mogosoaia Castle by train from Bucharest and it takes only 10 minutes and it costs 5 RON.

Se avete un po' di tempo per rilassarvi durante il viaggio questo è il posto che fa per voi. Un palazzo antico legato alla storia affascinante di una nobile famiglia in mezzo a un parco bellissimo e ben curato, sulle sponde di un lago, pieno di panchine e sentieri in mezzo agli alberi. Ho avuto la fortuna di visitarlo a fine ottobre con i colori dell'autunno, foglie rosse e gialle e una luce limpida. Posto ottimo per una sosta o per attendere il volo di ritorno (l'aeroporto è a circa 15 mi nuti di auto da qui). Lo consiglio a tutti. Attenzione: il palazzo non è visitabile di lunedì, ma il parco è aperto ugualemente e vale comunque la pena di visitarlo.

First stop was Mogosoaia Palace in a village of the same name. Palace was built in 1688 in the Byzantine style with no sharp angles. Summer residence of King Constantin Brancoveni who reigned from 1688 to 1714. The Royal Palace was burned several times by the Ottomans. He ruled 1/3 of today’s Romania. They used iconography in their churches since the common people could not read, but could interpret pictures, which were usually painted on wood or plaster. Grounds are poorly maintained.

Beautifully restored palace on the outskirts of Bucharest, Mogosoaia Palace is located on the shores of a lake.
It was built in the early 18'th century by prince Constantin Brancoveanu in the uniquely Romanian architectural style that bears his name: "brancovenesc".
The interior is interesting with contemporary artefacts. One room has the floor made of tiny "sandwiches" of glass with gold foil between them.

Кроме парка, смотреть нечего. Дворец закрытый, никуда не пускают. Зря потраченное время. Стоянка стоит дорого. Туалета нет.

It happened to be Sunday at noon and you can only imagine how busy that place was first week in September. Crowded would be an understatement. Lots of people from the city looking for a retreat or going to the adjacent church. Finding parking was also an adventure. I paid, they let me in but no spots, had to wait around dodging other cars doing the same on a narrow alley. Most Romanian drivers are very impatient to say the least, they don't master the concept of waiting in line or get the dynamics of first come first served, they always jump lines, whether is a line in front of a store, airport or a parking lot. Park away from the lot and walk.
I had to wait a long time to take a few decent pictures. Oh well..
The building and the surroundings are nice but the garden and the landscape and the grounds can use little work. The lake as well... lots of weeds and garbage. The woods/park around and picnic area busy too, not a good day for me relaxing I guess.

Kaunis ja hyvin hoidettu palatsi. Upeita saleja ja historiaa. Tiloja voi vuokrata juhlakäyttöön. Upea puutarha, paitsi lampi kasvaa umpeen jos jotain ei tehdä.

I primi di luglio mi recherò a Budapest e mi piacerebbe visitare il Palazzo qualcuno sa dirmi se e con quale mezzo pubblico e' possibile arrivarci? Ringrazio chi vorra' darmi notizie in proposito.

Don't know for sure about the Palace, but the surrounding garden and park are open daily.
