We spent the weekend at a cabin on Lake Barkley and I needed to get a KY fishing license to take my son fishing. We got into town late and stopped into the marina at closing time. The ladies helping us were very friendly and helped get my license along with some bait for the next day. Very much appreciated the friendly service as I understand people are trying to close up for the day. Thank you so much!!

The marina is super nice and really easy to get to. If you were loading your own houseboat the distance you have to take your items is so short compared to Lake Cumberland and the state dock. The marina has a bunch of boats to rent that looked really nice they just needed to be dusted off a little bit and knock off some cobwebs.

We reserved a two hour block for the 24’ Tritoon in June. The Marina supplied our family with life jackets and instructions for the boat.
The deck hand watched as we backed out and tried to direct us out into the water. The driver-myself was not fully aware of the power supplied by the boat and miscalculated turning out of the marina and then slowly went towards the dock. The deck hands-2 of them pushed our boat away from the pier and indicated that we were good to go.
There was no discussion or comment made by the deck hands that there was any damage and all went ok the rest of the trip and when we arrived back from our time out.
We did not receive the full $250 deposit that we were suppose to receive and no one indicated any sort of damage nor tried to take any pictures as proof. This was a let down and leaves a sore taste in our mouth from the experience. Beware.

Staff and Attendants are very friendly, and informative. We rented an old bass boat for about an 1-1/2 hours in a 2 hour allotted window. We just slowly cruised around the lake and coves, so never really opened it up for speed. It was a beautiful day, and a lot of fun relaxing for the two of us. We didn't fish, but the fish were jumping. Very easy to drive, but the boat had clearly seen its day. The various other rental options looked like a lot of fun. We did a same day call-in rental, and they were very accommodating. Unfortunately, they hit my credit card with a deposit that should have been credited that same day, upon boat return. I made multiple calls regarding the credit, and received very happy awareness that it needed to be credited, but apparently no action. They kept that deposit for 10 days, which is unacceptable. The Marina, store and restaurant are very clean, and everyone practiced safety measures. The food at the restaurant was better than expected.

We rented a pontoon boat for the day and had a great time until we returned it. We had a paid a $250 deposit fee which is standard. On returning the boat the crew told us that our propeller was damaged. There is no way we damaged the propeller....we never went close to shore & had the boat out all day. They also couldn't find our reservation when we returned but mysteriously had a pristine stocked photo of our propeller that they said had been taken that morning of our boat that we rented. When going over the boat that morning no personnel showed us the propeller or took a photo of it in our presence.
The lady at the desk just kept telling us that we wouldn't be getting our deposit but wouldn't be charged anymore for the damage. (how convenient) We asked to speak to the manager but she was gone for the day. We left a phone message the next morning and have yet to receive a return phone call. All we'd like is to see a photo of the propeller time/dated for the morning that we rented it. We had a boat that the fuel gauge didn't work, the speedometer didn't work and now they're telling us we damaged the propeller that just happens to cost the $250 deposit we paid.
We feel scammed by Lake Barkley Marina and want to warn anyone renting from them to take photos beforehand of EVERYTHING! Don't let this happen to you and we will never recommend or return to Lake Barkley Marina.

Spent 3 days on Lake Barkley putting in and taking out at this Marina. Our favorite part were the locally made popsicles. We had cookies and cream, and they were out of this world!

Just a beautiful lake. Accommodations were very limited due to COVID 19 restrictions, but it was still nice to look at and plan our next visit.

Busy on lake weekends but plentiful parking. State police LOVE to write tickets for exceeding 20 mph inside the park so be careful. Three boats can launch at once.
Good store for supplies and an attached grill (Captain Jim's) to get some quick food.
Fuel is expensive (like any marina)

This local marina offers great little grill with live music, easy access to boat ramp and ample parking, the view is breath taking

We went here to rent a boat. We waited too late and they were all rented but the nice ladies gave us information on renting jet skies and kayaks. Very helpful. Great gift shop area also.
