We had a great experience. Our tour guide had a wonderful personality and good knowledge of the company history and product line. The tasting was helpful because you could try the single barrels that were available in the gift shop. It was a wonderful surprise to have the owner step into the tasting room and share a few stories.

What a great experience! Came to Louisville on a Father Daughter trip for the Bourbon Trail. We are so happy that we added Peerless to our itinerary. The tour was amazing and super informative. We learned so much ( buy single barrel not small batch) And the Whiskey’s we tasted were just spectacular I loved the one that had hints of black licorice, I wish I could recall the name. The taste and smell of each whiskey was very distinct. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and a lot of fun and his guided tasting was one of the best we experienced. As an added plus it’s kosher. Peerless is a must stop on the trail. Now I just need to find some of their whiskey in PA.

5 - was an outstanding tour!!! Our tour guide knew the process from start to finish and could explain it in terms that were easy to understand!!

We loved Kentucky Peerless! Our tour was excellent and the family story of Peerless was fascinating to hear. There's a lot of passion at this craft distillery. The tour was fun and informational. It felt even more behind the scenes than most other bourbon tours we've been on, since it's such a small facility there was no hiding any aspect of their operations. At the end of the tour we tried four great bourbons. It seems like the tasting selection changes frequently but you can't really go wrong with anything they have to offer. We also got to keep the tasting glass. The bourbon at Peerless is more premium and higher priced than we are used to, so for us it's something to aspire to rather than drink regularly at this stage in our lives, but we loved it. Well worth the cost of the tour especially if you aren't regularly drinking premium craft bourbon.

When touring distillery row, or the bourbon trail, most people go for the more well-known brands, like Old Forester. However, down the road from the main area, in a more industrialized part of town, is the Peerless distillery. As my wife and I had some time before we were due at our actual destination, we decided to stop by and take a look.
Parking is, well, strange. Maps show a parking lot directly across from the distillery, as well as street parking, but it's a confusing situation. The parking lot across the street is not owned by, protected by, or in any way associated with Peerless, and multiple signs make that clear. Completing the 'text to pay' transaction gets you all-day parking for only $5, but that's in a lot with no markings, potholes everywhere, and no clear sense of what to do or where to go. Street parking seems to be a bit better, with actual meters, but even still we saw people struggling with it.
The entry to Peerless is also the gift shop and meeting place for tours. It's very expansive as it was probably part of the original distillery. You can see all the versions of what they produce, and the usual shirts, stickers, and books. The desk is where you sign up for tours. One of the best parts of this area is the kitty cat. The cat is friendly towards everyone, and if you sit down on one of the provided chairs, they will shortly make themselves comfortable on you.
We did not have time for the actual tour. Well, we did, but it would have put us up against our appointment time for our next stop, and we didn't want to chance it. We did, however, purchase a tasting tour, which allowed us to skip the 'making of' and go right to the sampling. Having had a couple of opportunities to try a Peerless-labeled whiskey, I opted for variations I had never come across, and I ended up purchasing a double-rye. The absinthe variation has tons of potential, but the actual absinthe flavor is a little overwhelming still.
On our next trip, I would definitely take this tour, as it seems to be more in line with what actually goes on than some of the other distilleries. The staff is hugely knowledgeable and friendly, and I'd be very interested in hearing what they had to say.

This tour was the best of the four that we took in downtown Louisville. Starting with the history of the company and going through the distillation process, Mark did a great job and kept it interesting. He told us that by starting our tours with Peerless, that it would possibly spoil others tours that we would take later, and he was right.

Great informational tour on Jan. 30. One of the best tours we have had! We live in Indians about 1 1/2 hour away and it was well worth the trip!! Well made bourbon. I rank it high on my list!

We had gone here a year before and it was the best time we ever had, so when we went back to Louisville we brought someone else with us to show them how great it was. The staff was super friendly and their whiskey is amazing. Our second tour didn’t have as much information and story telling as the last one. Still a must visit!

This was a wonderful tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and it was a genuine experience. The entire distilling process happens on site, making it interesting to see things from start to finish. The tasting experience offered unique bottles, not always offered on the shelf.

Wonderful tour, our guide was so knowledgeable and genuine. Our tasting was incredible with new releases. We did purchase a bottle of one of those bottles. Highly recommend!
