Damaged wrecked boat, dark, haunting and great staff. Worth the money and 20 minute wait. See you in October 2019.

This was most definitely the coolest haunted experience I’ve ever had. I’m actually writing this a few years later because I’ll be heading back to cinci soon. We waited a while to get in, but it was worth the wait and every penny spent!!!

not much here. a run down, damaged riverboat ready for the junk yard and just sitting on the river seemingly rotting.

I think this would be scary without the halloween effect. This is worth the money as it is not a 3 minute walk through. We did wait about 20-30 minutes in line to get in but it was well worth the wait. We did go on a "no touch night" which I did not know this was even a thing. Thank goodness for that. This is a must for all haunted house lovers.

This was a solid haunted house... We bought the front of the line RIP pass. Definitely worth $60 to avoid the line, which was ridiculously long. We checked in, and were promptly escorted by security to the front of the line (and were the first ones in for the night). I was a bit weary about the whole RIP experience, because there were some other reviews saying that actors teeter a line of agression/assault (I have little tolerance for stupidity)... This was hardly the case. Yes, the actors grab you by the arms/legs, or may slightly push you, but nothing crazy or aggressive. All in all the actors were really good, and didn’t over step the line/boundaries with aggressive grabbing or force. Pretty interactive experience, and a really long haunted house... It took us 45 minutes to get through the RIP experience. We’ll prob go back next year and try the Captain’s Extreme Experience, which is apparently quite a bit more immersive.

This visit was with a group that visits haunted attractions around the country...we are hard to please! We scheduled a special event to visit the Nightmare and received R.I.P. treatment! (We also recommend paying for the RIP tickets to get some special treatment. The staff and actors were great! Much better that the Halloween event at a near by theme park. The history and authenticity of the boat really enhance the Haunt.
The only negative, which has nothing to do with the Nightmare is that recent changes to the local roads means GPS will have a problem getting there. Pay close attention the the signs to the riverfront.

How Murphy's law governs everything. You can't even give something away and expect it to go right. At least it serves as a tourist attraction rusting away in the glittering modern world that surrounds it.

Pass this one up. It's over priced, predictable... and the condition of the boat is the scariest part. I was more concerned with falling through the rusty old floor than anything jumping out at me. The lines are long and not worth the wait.

The USS Nightmare is a do not miss attraction for Halloween. It has become a tradition in the Cincinnati area. Fun for most ages. There is the chicken room if the kids get too scared where they can go wait for everyone else. We used to take our competitive swim team kids there and every once in a while, we'd find a swimmer or two in the chicken room. Don't miss this fun scary haunted boat.

If you are in the area from the end of September through October this is a must do. It is a haunted house built on an old steamboat. It is the perfect combination of scary and neat. Great for all ages! My kids love it and we go with our friends too.

We went through the RIP experience and took the key or washer with us by accident which was apparently going to get us in the captains room. I guess we just forgot and left without that experience. I’m kind of upset that we did that and am now experiencing FOMO. How can people who pay for that experience ensure that they get to the captains room and have the option to “win the free cruise?”

Honestly, the only thing I can tell you is to make sure before going inside that you ask someone where exactly you need to go. There are so many people working there that I am sure someone we would be available to help you. I’m so sorry you missed out on that.
