We took an afternoon trip from Anda Beach, up through the rolling hills to see the amazing rice terraces. We parked at the top and then walked down through the jungle (512 steps!) to swim i the Can-umantad Falls - well worth the trip.

La zona de Anda cuenta con un montón de sitios bonitos, salvajes y sin turismo!! Esta zona es la mejor de Bohol para nosotros.
Merece la pena una visita, junto con cascadas, cenotes etc...

Eran bonitas aunque en el camino nos encontramos multitud de arrozales que podrían rivalizar a la hora de hablar de belleza. Probablemente lo mejor del camino fue mantener conversaciones y cierto trato con los lugareños.

The rice terraces was on the way to Can-Umantad Falls. It was not as instagram-worthy as we would like it to be cos the farmers just harvested the rice. But the vastness was admirable. The road going here is not yet fully constructed. We could have skipped this had we known the trip would be about 20 minutes of rough road. Good thing we were not crowded in the van.

Travelled all the way here from Panglao and it is worth it. Off road experience using a motorbike as the road there is rocky and muddy due to the weather condition at the time we went. Have to pay entrance and parking fee because the land I believe is a private one (Eleuterio's). The scenery though is breathtaking and is definitely worth going. Can also go to Canumantad falls after

worthy for a visit and a must to see water falls, love the place, sure i will recommend this place for anyone that will visit Bohol

Perdu au bout du monde, les routes sont en très mauvais état. Et à la fin si on a pas de scooter ou moto, nous devons emprunter une moto avec chauffeur. On commence par une baignade au Falls puis on monte les centaines de marche pour arriver aux rizières. Elles sont somptueuses. Pour dire on a fait 2h30 de voiture pour le voir.

Nous nous y sommes rendus en taxis, la route était très mauvaise. Et avons dû prendre une moto avec chauffeur pour le dernier bout de chemin impraticable en voiture. Nous avions combiné cette visite avec la waterfall. Les rizières sont magnifiques et le paysage très beau. Nous avons traversé beaucoup de petits hameaux. Les habitants font sécher le riz sur une toile en plastique directement sur le bord de la route! A voir

It is true that these rice terraces are not quite as spectacular as those that I have seen in Bali, but these were still definitely up there. The drive from Panglao does take around 2-2.5 hours, but as others have commented - the scenery on-route makes it that much more enjoyable. Once you turn off the main road and take the road up the hill, you are instantly slowed down due to the poor road surface which is where the majority of your journey time is spent! But again, the sights on the way make-up for this. When you reach the top, your driver will be told to stop as you are only allowed to carry on by taking a local motorbike, which costs 100 pesos and is easily worth it for their expertise to navigate through the pot holes in the road and the steep hills that you have to go up and down......I had to close my eyes for some of it! I was dropped at the waterfall first, which was very pretty and peaceful and nice to see, but definitely not as impressive as others I've seen. We then went onto the rice terraces and I was told that I could stay on the private property to take photo's or hike a short distance to the other side of the mountain - however as it was such a hot day and I chose to just take pictures from the private property. Indeed there is an old lady there who will charge you 25 pesos just to be there and she does conveniently seem to run out of the correct change when you buy a drink, but honestly I was only too happy to pay extra. She spent nearly an hour with me talking through the grounds and taking me around her 'hotel' and private pool and the work that they do on the private gardens around the rice terraces is spectacular, so for me it was worth the money - essentially I just paid another 100 pesos to her for my drink and her company! I was only too happy to sit there for a while and soak in the view. It was so peaceful and relaxing and such a beautiful sight. I would definitely stop by again.

Very photographic place and surly worth a visit. It’s on private property so you need to pay a little fee. But be aware of the old lady in the restaurant - she will rip you off. She does never have enough change (turned out it was a lie). The restaurant is not good but overpriced and you have to pay for everything in addition - she will charge you even for sitting at a table.
If you just go there for your pictures you will not regret, but avoid the restaurant.
