Thank you Captain Gary for a wonderful cruise. Your stories and insight into the local history were captivating. We learned many fascinating facts and anecdotes about the area. In addition, the cruise was very relaxing and enjoyable in its own right. No matter your reason for this cruise, you will not be disappointed.

My two sisters and I enjoyed a two hour cruise today which was a birthday gift from our senior sister. Gary is an incredible source of information and the tour was just the right length.

Captain Gary knows the area extremely well. The trip was informative and entertaining. Even though we grew up in the area we were amazed at all rich history on this pond. We came back to Maine for our 39th wedding anniversary, the dinner cruise was a nice surprise from our loving daughter and grandkids.
This is a must do!

Gary was so friendly, informative and accommodating of our family's needs. He gave us a great history of the lake, the surrounding towns and people --sprinkled with humor! Clearly he has love and pride for this lake and community. Gary also has a knack for making it fun for small kids up to older adults and allowed the kids to steer the boat for a bit.

Had a great time on the 2 hr tour. We didn’t realize there was so much history on the lake snd Gary was very entertaining. Would definitely recommend this to others.

Our party of four couples appreciated how knowledgeable
Gary was of the history and geography of the area.
His boat was very accommodating for us.
Gary named all the loons and has kept up with off spring.
He knows all the secrets of the lake and the inhabitants.

Captain Gary ensures that he takes the time to offer his guests the same experience he would expect on a nice tour/cruise. The history, scenery, knowledge, and expertise is absolutely top notch. He engages the guests and even the kids. Absolutely wonderful, and highly recommended to everyone!!!

An information packed tour of Messalonskee Lake (Snow Pond) with resident and owner, Gary. Highly recommended for families who wish to get to know this lake better. We had an up close view of a loon family which was very special. He treated our children respectfully and let them have a turn in the Captain's Chair. We hope to return next time we visit.

Captain Gary was a wonderful guide. I grew up in the area (Winslow) and learned many things I did not know about the history of Oakland and Messalonskee Lake/Snow Pond. We only took the 2 hour tour but I wished we had signed up for a longer excursion. You can tell he enjoys the tours and is excited to share his knowledge of the area. The book he passes out is filled with information and pictures. It was easy to make a reservation. We booked a tour with six adult siblings and we had the boat to ourselves. Easy access and location. Ample parking in Gary's driveway/house. This is a don't miss if you are in the area and want a relaxing time.

Captain Gary provided us with a wonderful afternoon cruise! We learned a lot about Messalonskee Lake and the local lore of our new town. We will definitely be returning!

Sorry for the delay in responding. The Snowdrifter II is licensed to carry 19 passengers. I try to limit most Cruises to 12 to allow more room for moving around and general comfort.
