Spectacular little museum for people who like American art and beautiful gardens.
This little gem is set on the rocky shore, with a modern building that makes the very most of it's site, with a glassed in front that let's you look straight through to the ocean beyond.

Spend some time with Anna if you are lucky enough to visit when she is docent. She is a delight and full of knowledge which she shares. We walked
away knowing we heard only a small sample. The grounds are lovely and the art worth the time. All of the staff is friendly with visitors and spent time with us, as time allowed.

Unless you are into abstract art, do not go to the museum. There are 3 rooms of paintings and 1 room of abstract art. It was a waste of $30 for my husband and to be there less than 45 minutes.

That is a nice but tiny exhibition, indoor and outdoor (nice garden). Looking comprehensively at all the exhibits took us 20 minutes. Don't go there with children, there is nothing interesting for them and you have to be careful.

A nice small museum in a spectacular, scenic location on the ocean. Enjoy the exhibits, but be sure to take extra time to savor the gardens and the great ocean views. Sit and relax! Picnicking on the property is not allowed. Free parking.

The museum features modern art. Many of the paintings are thought provoking but few are appealing or attractive. Sculptures are well done. There are some protest themes. Staff are very friendly.
The grounds are beautiful, with lush lawns, a scenic pond, gardens, sculpture, and beautiful views of the bay and rocky headlands. We spent most of our time outside.

This small but beautifully curated museum was a wonderful way to spend a few hours in Ogunquit. The permanent collections are excellent as are the current exhibits. The museum includes a lovely outdoor space overlooking the ocean with a diverse collection of sculptures. Well worth a visit!

It was raining the morning of our visit so we started inside the museum to view the interesting exhibits. I especially enjoyed the exhibit about Henry Strater. The rain stopped in time for us to enjoy a stroll through the outside exhibits in a beautifully landscaped setting with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The location is a prime location with water frontage.

Ogunquit Museum of American Art has beautiful grounds along the coast. The docents are friendly and willing to share their knowledge of the art on display. The sculptures in the gardens are interesting. The view from the window upon entering the museum is spectacular! The museum is a great way to spend a couple hours when in the area.

Lovely little museum; beautiful gardens with ocean views. Nice gift shop. Only issue - not accessible; there are several sets of stairs with no ramps or elevators.
