Too many privileged people. They're very inconsiderate and take up a lot of room. They socialize on gym equipment and on the mats so there is no room to get a work out.

Earth Treks is the best gym and climbing facility I've even been to. The employees are friendly and the facilities are always clean.
The community is pretty nice over all. People generally stay out of each others ways other than when they want to help you.

This place is great since all of the remodeling has been done. They have tons of climbing to offer free climbing. The gym is nice too. Very clean and run smoothly. Fun to stop in after work and get some climbing in.

We have been before but not recently, and were very pleasantly surprised to find that they have totally remodeled this facility and are in a new space 44000 ft. That's LOTS of climbing. Tons of routes at all levels, lots of sport leads, kid/beginner type walls in addition to regular routes, great bouldering area, exercise and yoga areas as well. Everyone friendly, more than helpful. Wish the gym in my town was as nice...

The new Earth Treks is a great place to climb - lead walls, top rope, separate bouldering section, kids birthday section ... yoga room, gym, cardio machines ... and best of all for me, they open early enough to go before work. No autobelay but there us a Facebook page for trade a belay, and meetups who come here, so check those out if you need a partner. TripAdvisor shows the old gym so I've put new ones here.

I was a happy member of this climbing gym for years but hadn't been there since 2017. When I went yesterday, I was thrilled to discover that in the last year, they moved right down the road and expanded into a huge new space. The bouldering space has quadrupled in size, there is a new large fitness area, many yoga classes, and an impressive climbing section!

Halfway through an eight-day teacher training in Baltimore and I had the buzz I always get knowing I'd be climbing later. I had completed the on-line waiver before flying in. Nice and easy. As I arrived the Uber driver commented on the beauty of the facade. Once inside, that theme continued. Earth Treks is a wonderful space, friendly staff and a serious climbing community. Five distinct bouldering areas, including one top-out section, with routes all graded on the "V" scale. A vast top-rope section with forty-four foot walls (!) and many satisfied lead climbers. Also nice but why no auto-belays? Earth Treks also has the largest workout space I've seen at a climbing gym. I left very satisfied but also confounded by the price. $22.00 for a day pass is not an issue for me and likely not for those in this affluent Baltimore exurb. But climbing should never be exclusive and the good people at Earth Treks ought to lower that price to $15.00. All the best.

We had a group that included preteens, teens and adults. Everybody climbed and had a great time. The staff is very friendly and encouraging (none of our group had done rock climbing before). Already planning our next visit!

The gym was recently enlarged at a space right behind where the original gym was, and the space increase is significant. There are no more tight squeezes and the locker room now has digital locks and plenty of space. The bouldering wall is fantastically set. It's too bad that the new space does not have the same kind of chimney like the last one, nor the same kind of challenging lips like the last gym. Also, somewhat a pet peeve of mine, outside the building, there is only one direction the staircase faces to enter the building, which blocks half the parking lot from being able to access it. The parking lot is also a weird mixture of parallel and lined parking that I can see this being an issue in the winter if you can't see the ground clearly due to snow. We'll see how it goes this year then.

What are your Prices for amateur climbing

We have several programs available for first time climbers as well as for experienced climbers.
Open Climb:
Open Climb is a great way to come in and try out climbing. You don’t need any reservations, it’s perfect for all ages, and no experience is necessary. Just come to one of our gyms, on a Saturday or Sunday. The open climb pass includes 3 climbs, a harness rental, and an Earth Treks instructor to lead your climbing experience.
-$25 per climber
Introductory Lessons
There are important safety skills that you need to learn if you want to start climbing independently at an Earth Treks Climbing Center. At minimum you'll want to start with Introduction to Climbing which gives you a solid foundation of safety skills including harness use, knot tying, and belaying. These courses are available to those age 13 and up.
