‪Eden Mill is one of our golden retriever's favorite places, the moment we turn onto Fawn Grove Rd he starts pacing and crying/barking, vocalizing his excitement, eagerly anticipating the swimming that's about to go down. We usually park at the small parking area at the end of the road where the bridge is being reconstructed then walk down the path to the water. Our golden loves leaping off the concrete stair at the bottom of the path then we take a short hike down the trail so he can dry off. There are several different trails you can hike and a lot of weekends they have "ranger encounters" where a ranger teaches you about the local wildlife, flora & fauna. The nature center has different animals and displays inside and there's also a working beehive and beautiful garden where you can observe the birds & butterflies and they have a pavilion with picnic tables. If you enjoy kayaking, this is the place for you, they have a couple of areas where you can launch and cruise Deer Creek at your own pace.‬

‪A very nice "Lazy River" type of experience for kayaking and wading in the water, with trails for hiking and a very nice nature center. The mill itself is very interesting too!‬

‪Enjoyed a day exploring Eden Mill, nature center, historical mill, hiking path along Deer Creek, gardens with butterflies, hummingbirds, and other birds. Enjoyed the nature story book walk for children. Will kayak there one day. Nice day trip for us. Saw many young children enjoying nature in the camp they were holding there. Loved it. No entrance fee.‬

‪Eden Mill tells the story of a natural and historic treasure that includes 110 acres for hiking and wildlife viewing. The restored Grist Mill Museum is fascinating. Our eleven year old grandson really enjoyed the experience.‬

‪We're always trying to find new trails and parks to explore with our Golden Retriever Riley and we happened upon Eden Mills as we were driving home from another park nearby. This park is not only serene and the scenery beautiful but it seems to be a hidden treasure as I have very rarely seen the place overly crowded. When you first enter the park there is a large parking lot and covered areas with picnic tables that are great for cookouts, parties, etc. and there are also grills and other tables throughout the meadow which is right beside a cool running stream. The Nature Center has lots of great displays and information plus there's also a live bee hive in the barn. The center hosts a lot of programs but a big favorite seems to be the sunrise/sunset canoe trips down Bear Creek. There's a Grist Mill and Gift shop but I haven't had the chance to check those out other than to admire from the outside. We love the trails for hiking because they run alongside Bear Creek (others take you to the top of the valley to a gazebo overlook) and ultimately lead to an area our dog loves to swim because he can dive off the end of the trail into the creek then get back out using the concrete steps. Great place for hiking, fishing, lounging, canoeing, you name it you can do it here and in relative peace since it seems to have managed to stay off the radar and there is no admission charge.‬

‪My kids enjoy coming to this nature center. It is a variety of a historic mill museum, and nature center. It also has had a canoe launch and walking trails. Some run along the creek with a lot of rock formations along the way. It's relaxing. ‬

‪I started here with my tots for playdates- registering for their myriad of inexpensive kids classes and activities, free critter feedings, and lunch al fresco under their covered pavilion. We have also attended many of their events from nature-themed egg dying to their fall festival and pumpkin pitch. We are looking to try out the canoe trip soon. Also, a great trip for scout troops. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. This is a favorite spot for our family!‬

‪Nice little Grist Mill museum, and exhibit featuring many stuffed animals, skulls, furs, etc. and a few live animals. The nature enter has a small area for kids that we did not spend time in. We walked through the museum featuring turn of the century farming equipment, but did not wait for the staff to give us a detailed descriptive walkthrough as my daughter was more interested in hiking the trails. It is adjacent to Deer Creek, which is very shallow and calm, and has easy access points for canoes and kayaks. I did not see any canoe/kayak rental available, you have to bring your own. We hiked a few of the trails, many loopbacks are available so you can hike anywhere between 0.5 miles to up to 5 miles. The trails are not very well maintained but are clear enough, and the unkempt nature added an "adventure" element for my daughter. We visited Eden Mill Nature Center and spent over an hour there before venturing onto Kilgore Falls in Rocks State Park. I definitely recommend sweating on the trails here before driving to Kilgore Falls which is only 10 min away (10 min due to small bendy roads through farm country, not distance). The water at the Falls is cold (but refreshing)! A major drawback is the lack of a toilet. It had a porta-potty which stunk so bad that none of us went. There are a couple of toilets, but the keys to those are available only when you rent one of the picnic pavilions there. All in all I would definitely visit if I were in the area.‬
