Great place to visit. Gardens and fairy houses are so nice! I suggest taking the tour of the house, very nice things to see and lots of historical things. A great take in Falmouth!

This was a little bit of a disappointment for us but mainly because I was hoping for more gardens. The garden area is rather small and the surrounding paths are primarily small art exhibits. It took us about 30 min to see everything. We didn’t opt to go into the mansion so if you’re interested in seeing that it could be more worthwhile. There are also lots of trails surrounding but only worth venturing if you’re looking for a good hike. Not a leisurely stroll. Overall it was nice but just a very brief visit for us.

My wife and I visited Highland House specifically to see the grounds and garden. The sunken garden was nice and there are plenty of walking trails in the woods. This is a worthy excursion. The house was not open we we arrived.

La première, celle de l'intérieur de la maison pour y découvrir son histoire et en comprendre toute son importance.
La seconde est le réseau de sentier à parcourir. Plusieurs thématiques présentes.

lots of well marked trails that are nicely maintained. Good elevation changes if you want them. Quiet and peaceful

Lovely gardens, so many peaceful walking paths, many outdoor art installations. We did not actually go inside the house, but took full advantage of the paths and the sunken garden. You may bring your dog as long as it's kept on leash. Relaxing beautiful spot!

While we support historic homes, we felt admission here was a bit steep given what little remains of the original occupants. We appreciated the amount of work that went into the building's restoration, but it was unclear why the grounds (which were generally in good condition) were free, but the house (unfurnished except for an art exhibition) charged admission. If we had been charged admission for the house and grounds, it would have been understandable. As it was, I wish we had skipped the house. It could benefit from more exhibition materials, perhaps about the history of Falmouth, the family, or general history. It felt quite empty.
The stickwork art installation was amazing and the highlight of the trip. The gardens, as my mother said, had good bones, but were still a bit rough around the edges.

Amazing to see the restoration that has taken place. Congratulations to the Town of Falmouth and all the volunteers for saving this beautiful estate. Well worth the visit and happy to pay the $10 per person admission to support the cause!

Although there are beautiful gardens not sure why they charge admission to view a home with antique furniture and artwork. Would have appreciated a tour to accompany the admission charge. The staff was not very engaging, Had to ask for how to get the most out of my visit sentence by sentence. After our third (painful) question we were finally given a map and a little useful advice. I'm upset I paid for this poor customer service, when no one else appeared to be pulling out their wallet.
