‪Charming shops, nice for a few hours‬

‪It was nice walking around and checking out the shops after a boat ride. Charming little town. Shady trees and quaint restaurants to take an afternoon break. Not as crowded as Rockport. Another town to explore. Not a real destination like Rockport.‬

‪Trying Hard to Stay Alive‬

‪Downtown areas in most small towns are slowly disappearing. I give Gloucester credit for trying to keep their charming little area alive. Too many unoccupied retail shops though. Perhaps if they could attract more tourists, more retailers would move in. Good luck!

‪Virgilios, Brass Monkey, Ravens Nest, many many more! All usually open around 10am. Virgilios is closed on Sundays so if your leaving and wanting a road hoagie...get it Saturday!‬

‪A nice group of shops, I myself prefer Rockport.‬

‪Better shops in Rockport but it's a nice area for a day trip. Glouster is a pretty area, check out the ocean drive a New England tradition. ‬

‪Love Main Street in Gloucester!‬

‪Main street has lovely trees, and many fun shops: new books, used books, antiques, upscale home supplies, clothing, and two wonderful shoe shops. There are also a number of **really good** restaurants.‬

‪There are several really good restaurants on main street like "Short and Maine" for quality wood oven pizza, "Passports" and "Tonno" for great fish entrees and a really nice ambience.‬

‪Main Street has a varied collection of restaurants, Italian, Mexican, seafood, Thai ,and upscale as well as coffee shops and bakeries! There are specialty. Shops, art galleries, record shop, movie theater, shoe sore and clothing boutiques! ‬

‪Main Street's Bustling‬

‪It was nice to see so many people shopping in the small downtown shops here. There is quite a variety of boutiques - a great consignment shop called the Dress Code - and other restaurants and shops. It has a lot of charm and nice to see it is thriving!‬
