Abbiamo percorso questa strada in lungo e in largo tutti i giorni, vasche su vasche e ogni volta ci è piaciuta e abbiamo scoperto locali e negozi interessanti.

Main Street in Hyannis is filled with a variety of shops and restaurants to browse. On summer weekends there are also special events and parades to enjoy; check the local calendars to see what's happening.

This could have been nice 60 yrs ago, but the place is run-down, badly maintained, with bad quality shops and goods. Nothing related to Cape Cod (which you need to discover up north).

No need to take time out of your visit to the Cape to see Hyannis. Not reflective of the rest of the Cape. Just your usual tourist town. There are much nicer and prettier towns to visit in the area.

The length of the street is impressive and affords a good walk after a big lunch. We were somewhat disappointed by the stores; most seemed to be catering to tourists, offering souvenirs, tees, and sweats; some Cape Cod pillows; and the like. The restaurants abounded, and that, more or less, is what's there. In abundance.

Disappointing that many places were closed, either for the season, or due to it being Monday. I would never go here in the summer; I think I would hate the amount of people, so not sure what the sweet spot is when places are open, but you're not stuck in a mass of humanity. We did find a couple of cool places, but again, SO many were closed...

Main street has some tee shirt, gift shops. Mixed in with those are some restaurants with open air dining, personal clothes, jewelry and drug stores that made a good mix of shopping.

It's been several years since my last 'walk' through Hyannis. But.. very nice! Love the variety of shops. Had lovely conversations with several of the shop owners. Found easy parking right on Main St. The walk to the harbor was worth it..

Sorry, we were not there on Sunday. On Saturday, some were opiated 10, other at 11.
In Boston for a week from the UK and am interested in spending a day experiencing a little of Cape Cod - in particular Hyannis. What can we expect at this time of the year (ie will many attractions/shops be closed)? Planning on catching Peter Pan bus on a day return - will there be enough in Hyannis to keep us occupied for five hours?! Thanks.

Many of the shops and restaurants are open this time of year on Hyannis Main Street. The JFK Hyannis Museum is also open, as is the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, and the Zion Museum on North Street.

Yes! When you are facing the harbor, take a left and follow Ocean Street up to the set of lights. Across the street is a pathway that goes through the Village Green and brings you right to Main Street.

Many of the shops and restaurants put out water for pets on Main Street. There is also a fantastic pet store called Pupcakes, on Main Street, definitely check it out if you are in the area!

Yes the businesses are all open and especially later in the week. Can be open to 6 on a nice weekend at this time of year. Very pleasant strolling, enjoy!
