‪Absolutely beautiful walk with my wife and kids! Perfect Sunday before football. If you have little kids it’s perfect for a small hike‬

‪Nice place for a hike. Several trails to choose from and easy to cover all of the Weir Hill Reserve on a 3.5 mile 90-120 minute hike. Views along Lake Cochichewick and ascend to the top of Weir Hill for views of North Andover and the surrounding countryside. Lots or mosquitoes although it has been rainy this past week so bring bug spray. ‬

‪This is a great hike! You can see the water, the changing of the seasons and much more! Also, if you are interested in them, there are many geocaching opportunities along the way. Do not go if you don't like dogs, this is a popular trail for them. The only reason that this is not 5 stars is that there is steep hill at one point, just don't run down it, and you'll be fine! ‬

‪WIth in the past 2 hours, was just there and not too far from getting back to the parking lot, I got bit by a dog which was off it's leash. This is the 2nd time this has happened at this area (and the only times), but this time, it didn't tear my pants or break the skin. Dog was not on the leash - and following the owner but behind her by about 50ft. Small dog sort of a Yorkshire look, grey - owner was talking on the phone, did say hi, and was discussing the dog to the other person on the phone. As the dog pasted by me, it barked a bit ran up to me and bit me. The owner yelled back at the dog. A little too late.... (The first time I was bit there was several years ago and that dog was on a leash, but a very long retractable one, and as I passed, there was no sign of aggression, but it just bit me).

Everyone I saw this morning with the exception of one person, was walking a dog. Only one had the dog on the leash, though all had the leash in their hands. (Kinda like having a mask in your hand vs. covering your mouth/nose which is the way it is supposed to be utilized - thus making the mask (or leash), useless). You can frequently walk the trails there and see it is popular for dog walking because you have all those wonderful bags left behind by the owners who pick up after their dog, but just leave it in the woods - probably for the trash collector or woods fairy to pick on their rounds?

Not sure why people go out for what some would call fresh air, exercise, me time, quiet time, etc. when they are talking on the phone, or smoking while out....

North Andover Police/Animal Control/Trustees, TAKE NOTE.

(Associated photo shows the actual mouth imprint of the bite on my jeans)‬

‪This is a jewel of a hiking trail nestled in north of Boston just off of I-495. As a resident of this area I frequent this hill whenever I want to enjoy the outdoors. Weir Hill surrounds a beautiful lake with crystal clear New England water. It offers steep climbing which can provide an excellent cardio excercise, or training for runners.‬

‪This is not a big place, but it has a lot of variety, from lakeside paths to hills and a very nice view of steeples and factory chimneys of Lawrence.
Gets crowded on nice weekend days after about 9 or 10 AM, but go early any morning for some near solitude. It's a favorite of dog walkers so expect to see canines, most off leash and most also pretty well behaved.‬

‪This park has a hilly trail along the lake's edge. The views are great, and the trails offer good exercise. The dogs love a good walk with jutting roots and big mud puddles in the rainy season.‬

‪Well maintained, marked trails, gorgeous scenery and tranquil, restorative communing with nature. Several trails of different lengths, great view of the massive lake. A gem right here in North Andover!!‬

‪Wonderful place and it allows dogs off-leash. trails are well kept and wide, no worrying about poison ivy. I never see more than a couple of people while out with my pup.‬

‪My husband and I decided to hike the yellow trail at Weir Hill with our dog on a warm Saturday afternoon. It was just over two miles and a very walkable trail clearly marked.
The hike to the top of the hill was a little steep for me (aged 64) but still well worth the trek. The view at the top was spectacular we could see for miles. The only reason I didn’t give it a top rating was it did not have any rest room facilities (not even a port a potty) and a few people did clean up after their dogs but left the poop bags on the trail rather than properly disposing of it. Otherwise it was a great hike and we will be returning to try the blue trail.‬
