My wife and I visited the Salmon Falls, and thus simultaneously the Glacial Potholes, after visiting the local bridge of flowers. Having been to various fjords and canyons, it's always amazing to see the power of both ice and water.

These were cool to see, and the town is super adorable, but not worth going out of your way. Easily signed from town, a short walk to a wooden pier for viewing. About a 3 minute walk from the Bridge of Flowers.

These are unique and for anyone interested in New England geological history and its many rivers and watermills, the Glacial Potholes of Shelburne Falls are unique reminders of the area's many natural / archaeological gems.

This is a short walk from either end of the Bridge of Flowers. It only takes a brief viewing along a railing on the east side of the Deerfield River.
Walking 20-30 feet south of the same railing, you can view the Salmon Falls. By the railing are concrete spots to hang out on, nice trees, shrubs, a bench to have picnic on.
If you’re just driving through, there are a few spots for parking.

This is a quick stop, but it’s so worth it. The view is amazing, and cute shops are nearby so you can get the most out of your stop. Also nearby is the Bridge of Flowers, but it is seasonal and not always open.

The Shelburne Glacial Potholes is a wonderful place to stop and visit. The potholes formed 14,000 years ago. The Deerfield River eroded these holes, it is fascinating to think about how water is responsible for this. This is a free attraction. Parking can be a tricky situation, especially during the peak times. There is a small lot at the potholes and metered parking on Bridge Street. I was there on a weekend and it was really busy. I parked on Deerfield Avenue, closer to Bridge Street. I didn't see any double yellow lines or meters. I was only at the Glacial Potholes for about a half an hour.
When I visited (in October) it was a town mandate that masks had to be worn at all times, even outside. The rule might still be in effect but don't let it keep you from seeing the sites in Selburne, it's a beautiful little town.

This attraction in addition to the bridge of flowers and the falls in Shelburne, massachusetts makes for a one stop shopping along with fall foliage and covered bridges. they bypassed the canal and dried up the riverbank to expose the glacier potholes along creating beautiful waterfall.

Worth a detour from the main street through town. These “potholes” are near a dam with a beautiful overflow. Very little parking but if you continue to the left down the street you will find ample spaces .

So cool to see these glacial holes by the Sherbourne Falls. The sound was cool and the ability to sit & enjoy nature with little fan fare or tourist distractions

Can you walk on them now. Seems that in the past we could play on the potholes and the water?

No, you can't walk on them now. It's very sad. It used to be so much fun to sit and play and feel the warmth of the rocks and the coolness of the water in the potholes.
