Local information let us know this waterfall was open once again November 2021. Despite not being able to access the bottom of the falls or the creek bed it was great to see a lot of water flowing over the edge. Locals said best time to visit is March to December or other times after rainfall. Dirt road going up to the falls can be slippery after rain so would recommend taking it easy if your not a confident driver. Well worth the drive to visit.

Just advising all that the road to the falls is still closed. As the previous reviewer said it would be nice if they put a sign up much further back to advise that is the case.

After travelling nearly two hours to get there when we arrived the gates were locked due to fires from 6 months earlier. Totally understand why it was closed but it needs to be updated for the public to see. While we were there and looking at where else we could take the kids there were three other cars that turn up who weren’t aware that it was closed either.

Really worth the drive and walk from Corryong I would recommend this spot if you enjoy nature walks and water falls - also saw black cockatoo

Visited here while visiting the area. We stayed at Upper Murray Cottages.
The falls was okay but nothing special). Easy walk (5 mins) from the car park. But the walk along The Lookouts Walking track and that’s really nice. It’s a steep climb (safe but steep) at the begging but it’s worth it. We only did about 1 hour return but the walk continuous further if you got time.

It is well worth a drive up to Bluff Falls. Once you get to the car park it is about 250 m walk then down a few stairs to get to the falls. Well worth it, amazing!!

Gave up well after 2 kms that sign said so beware.was a 40 degree day. No creeks running down so suggest waterfall was dry.would leave the waterfall out of your plans in summer unless has been a hugh downpour. Walk nice though, nice and natural.

After parking at the small car park, where there was a picnic table, we took the easy 250m walk to the falls. We were pleasantly surprised to see there was a fall as it was mid January and very dry and hot. Better views are down the few steps (not alot and not hard to handle). There is a viewing platform and we took photos standing at the base among the pool and rocks. Nice place to visit.

Worth the drive from Corryong. There is a small car park and walk to the falls up a small hill (about 250m). You can play in the small pools of water or stand under the waterfall to cool off. I took kids and they loved it. Beautiful area, very peaceful.

Bluff Falls is located in the Burrowa-Pine Mountain National Park.
There are two ways to access the falls. One is to do the Bluff Creek Nature Walk which is 4km - 2hrs return. The walk starts from the Bluff Creek Day Use Area, which also has a camping area. From here the walk is along a narrow path that eventually goes uphill and is quite uneven with embedded rock. There is a creek crossing, which was dry on our visit, and then scrambling up over rocks and up steep stairs before you reach the falls. There are several smaller falls along the walk and from a bridge you can see Bluff Falls high above through the trees. Once at the falls there is a viewing platform at the base, where you can wade in the cool water after your walk.
The second and most easiest way to view the falls is to drive past the Bluff Creek entrance and drive on further along the dirt road to the car park, which is 3km from the park entrance. From here it is only a 250m walk up to the viewing platform, and stairs give access to the base of the falls. This is also where the Bluff Creek Nature Walk ends. For the more adventurous, there are more steep stairs leading up to the top of the falls, but we did not attempt that. If you are after good photos, time your visit. When we were there the sun was reflecting down over the falls, making it difficult to get good photos.
We were staying in Albury for a break, and from there the falls are 113km - 1hr 45 minutes.
