‪It is 2023. The pandemic is long over but NOT at the EcoTarium. The staff is all masked so you cannot understand what they are saying and you have to wear one in the planetarium. That right, you have to wear a mask to sit next to the person you just stood next to in line without a mask waiting for the doors to open. There is no "science" to explain that logic. It hard to simply enjoy the museum watching little kids pouting about being put back into masks after years of this abuse by the schools. The staff didnt even seem to notice these little dramas unfolding. If EcoTarium is so worried about Covid this many years later, then stay closed. If they truly beleive is so unsafe in there that 4 year olds need to wear masks, than it is too unsafe for 4 year olds to be in there. I guess it is just safe enough for them to make money, but not safe enough to drop the Virtue signal.‬

‪Fantastic Afternoon!‬

‪We took our 5 year old grandson and 15 month old granddaughter yesterday afternoon which was very hot & humid. Started inside and our grandson was GLUED the exhibit on the lower level where the balls are released and a chain effect of bells, bounces and movement occurs (Spheres of the Universe?) right next to pre-school play area where our granddaughter was able to safely run around and play. We visited this area four times before leaving for the day. He enjoyed changing the wheels on a raceway to learn which wheels moved the fastest. We enjoyed the Mt Washington exhibit upstairs and LOVED the hurricane simulator and pinwheel wall and rock-climbing wall. Ended up outside for the fantastic bubble area and then took a fun train ride before exploring the outside Wild Cat Station exhibit. We had a fun afternoon and appreciated the snack area, clean bathrooms and clearly marked maps. As our grandson put it when asked about his favorite part "I loved every bit of it, even the box turtle!"‬

‪It's a children's museum ‬

‪We were looking for somewhere to stop and stretch our legs after being on the road for 10 hours and found this online. I thought it was a typical natural science museum but its more of a children's museum. It's perfect if you have kids but there were only us two adults so we felt really out of place. I wish the website had said children's museum so we could have went elsewhere. If you have kids though then you should stop...it looked to have a lot of hands on activities for the little ones and even a train.‬

‪Potential but did not add up‬

‪This had the potential to be great, but it was MOBBED with summer camps. We were there with our 2 year old and 9 year old on vacation and it was difficult for them to do anything because there were long lines of under-supervised kids. We had to pay for the 2 year old for admission to everything, but she didn’t get very much out of the entire time. We ended up leaving frustrated. A limit on the number of camps or field trips would be helpful for paying families to also enjoy the time there. I am a teacher and cringed at the lack of organization and supervision with all the camps.‬

‪Fun, family-friendly activity‬

‪We stopped in Worcester to go to this EcoTarium while we were on our way to Boston, and we all pleased with the exhibits and activities therein. We loved the natural history, science of the modern city, and secrets of the forest exhibits, all of which are very immersive (super helpful when traveling with a 2.5-year-old). The kid appreciated the playground as well. They also have a lot of animals in the outdoor exhibits (check out the wild cats), and several paths for walking.‬

‪Fun and educational!‬

‪Fun time both indoor and outdoors! I have a child who is a tactile learner and he couldn't get enough of this place! So many different activities from live animals to various indoor exhibits. The kids LOVED this! The train ride was great too!‬

‪Nice place to visit‬

‪Very intersesting exhibits. It has very large grounds to walk around. It has a new mountain lion enclosure. There are pinic areas and playground for the kids. It also has a train that takes you a ride around the whole area.‬

‪Indoor Visit to Ecotarium‬

‪Spent several hours wandering through interactive exhibits. Due to weather we were inside the whole time, but in good weather there’s a huge outside area to build and play as well as view mountain lion habitat. Train ride through property is fun too!
My two grandsons love it there. Highly recommend the grandparents membership.‬

‪Fun afternoon indoors!‬

‪My boyfriend & I spent the afternoon here. There was lots of hands on exhibits, live animals and a very interesting show in the Planetarium. We were there for 2-3 hours!‬

‪We enjoyed the Ecotaruim, the animals especially, and also all the bikes on display. Truth be told it’s quite expensive and our three year old was probably a bit young for some of the more scientific displays. He really enjoyed the train, the different creatures and the outside play zone though. I loved everything!‬
