A pretty water-side trail awaits, with plenty of unobstructed views. We stopped en route from UP to Holland. Worth the few miles off our path and especially pretty with the fall colors.

The noise of the motorboats in the evening is so loud you might as well be camping on an airport runway. Most Michigan state parks are gems and maybe this one is ok off season. But it is horrible in the summer. Motorboats are awful all day but beyond awful in the evening. Not a nice place to camp because of the motor scourge. Yuck.

Nice park with about 100 sites but it still feels pretty small. Lake view sites are good. Most of the sites are a pretty good size. Pit toilets were cleaned daily. Enjoyed hearing boats of all kinds and size play on the lake.

Pretty campground, no power. More for those who enjoy fishing or would like a very quiet time on the lake. Nice trails with nice views. Very tree covered. Looks like they do hold fishing tournaments. For us, it was kind of a ‘Deliverance’ vib. :)

Nice campground worth lots of big sites spaced a bit apart. A few trails in the area. The lake is shallow and not swimable

The sites are good size. There is no electric or water, but being right on Hardy Pond, it is an outstanding location.
Wish there were better views of the Pond, but overall a great experience.

Great rustic sites. There is some hiking and disc golf. We did the hiking not golf. They have the pit pots and hand pumps for water. Not much swimming around and the water is pretty brown. Nice trees lining the campground. Sites are large enough for 2 big tents. No wood at campground so buy in the area before you get to the campsite.

We really enjoy this state park. It's a rustic state park but has water to boat or swim, trails to walk or biking. We typically come here about 1-2 times a year.

We were three friends who went on a 2-night camping trip. The camp spots were smaller in size and not very private. No walking or hiking trails :(. We had our fun though, barbecued and got drunk :P
One thing that made the trip a lot more fun was Disc golf course. We had never played disc golf before. So, we decided to try it out. We liked it so much that we came back one more time the next morning. It was an easy beginner level course, no cost, plus they had discs that they let us borrow free of charge. Overall fun times.

Stayed here for a weekend, one site for my husband and I with our camper and another for my nephew and his girlfriend. The campsites are nicely spaced apart with good buffers between the sites. Our site we stayed at butted up to the disc golf and a path to the water which was fun. It was very quiet even with everyone sitting out at their fires and even with most people having kids and dogs. One site was getting rowdy and loud late at night but DNR running the site came around and quieted them down quickly. For a quick weekend get away we would absolutely go back! In fact my husband will be with our other nephews this week!
