Very unhappy with their communication and follow through. Played phone tag with “Linda” and wasn’t able to actually schedule the ride for my sisters wedding.

Our kids surprised us with a gift certificate for a one hour ride. We started our one hour tour at 7:30 on a beautiful August evening. Our driver, Carrie, was gracious and very friendly. Pearl, our horse, was beautiful and knew her way around. Downtown was bustling with excitement with people of all ages. We were amazed at the places the horse and carriage could go, and saw parts of the city we had not seen in years - many that were totally renovated, and saw lots of places with new construction. Gave us ideas for places to try in the future. We loved our ride and had a delicious dinner at Leo's following it. Would like to do it again after dark, or with snow falling next time.

We really enjoyed our carriage ride this past weekend. Keep in mind when it is very cold out the carriage is covered except for the doors. Your view is a little blocked. There is a very warm blanket to use. I would highly recommend this company.

Classy, professional, and fun. If you are interested in the history of the city along the ride, they are happy to share. Or if you want a peaceful ride, they can do that too.

We reserved a carriage ride for my Grandmother's 93rd birthday and were very pleased! Reservations were made easily over the phone and the staff was able to answer all of my questions. Linda, the owner, was our driver for the night and she was so pleasant and accommodating. She arrived on time and had blankets for us to use. We had a lovely tour of the city and were even able to go across two of the downtown bridges and along the river. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or just to enjoy a tour through the city they live in!

On August 21, 2015 my boyfriend surprised me with a horse and carriage ride downtown Grand Rapids, MI for our 1 year anniversary.
I love horse and carriage rides and I love romantic, surprising, thoughtful gestures. He did a great job.
Our driver was Tracy and the horse was named Dixie. Tracy was very nice, and Dixie has quite the personality. I loved how she would start neighing as if she was trying to give her opinion on our conversations. She kept me laughing.
It was a beautiful romantic scenic ride around the downtown area. It is also a great way to see where a lot of the attractions and restaurants are located that downtown has to offer.
They provide rides all year round, are reasonably priced, available for weddings/special occasions, and they are conveniently located on the corner of Monroe in front of PNC bank.
I would definitely recommend this company and would definitely utilize their services again.

How many adults does the carriage hold? There are 6 of us interested.

The carriage we rode in, which was typical of others we saw, can hold 4 adults comfortably. 6 people would not fit in one carriage. I don't know if the company has larger units, but the ones downtown were all built for 2 people in one seat and two people in the facing seat.
Was the half hour enough? money is tight so I am wondering if the half hour is worth my money or should I splurge and pay for the hour ride?

A half hour would be very enjoyable. We did the hour ride, an anniversary gift from our family, and loved it, but in my opinion a half hour would be just fine. Go ahead and have a great time seeing the city from a totally different view than normal.
