This is a nice spot for relaxing picnic and Lake Michigan views. A must stop if you have free time and want to see the lake in action.

Nice quiet Lake Michigan beach with some trails in the nature preserve that could use better markings for the north trail. Looks like many could not read the no dogs on beach sign. Very low key.

This county park has a camping area that was surprisingly popular in late September. But we were there just for a short time, and were the only ones on the beach. The water was quite high, meaning we needed to get our feet wet if we wanted a beach walk, but it was great fun! Bring a bag chair and have all of Lake Michigan to yourself!

Lake Michigan saved our family weekend of camping! The sites are narrow and tough to back in with a large RV. Could hardly pull our car off the road at our tent site which was right next to our RV. They had a small parking area in the front close to the office but it said no overnight parking!? There was nothing for our 6 grandchildren to do within the campground. We did walk and ride bikes to a beach area. There was a playground on the way and a few swings and a slide at the beach, However we would not let the kids use them because the grass and weeds were over the adults head and the equipment was in such bad shape it was very dangerous. I can’t believe this is a county park! Thank goodness for the beach and Lake Michigan. However we will not be camping here again

Small county beach on Lake Michigan.
Out of the way and not packed.
Beautiful beach. Used by quite a few kite boarders, but they mind themselves and stay away from swimmers and are fu. To watch.
Costs $5 to get in. There are bathrooms there by the beach as well as parking and a few small playground toys.
Currently, summer 2019, lake level is high, so not much ‘beach’ left. Bring extra large blankets to lay over the grassy dunes to make your beach spot, as Not much clear beach sand available.
But well worth it. It’s a lesser used Lake Michigan beach.

This beach was quiet on a late September afternoon, the wind was blowing, the waves were rolling, and the clouds added drama to the vista. Lake Michigan's beauty can be appreciated whatever the weather.

We were on site 5 and we had one neighbors fireplace 3 feet from our camper and the neighbor on the other side had their laundry right next to our fire pit. The bathrooms were clean and the park was quiet.

This beach was close to our campground and on our way home. It is a lovely sandy warm beach not overrun with people. There's parking and a bathroom with running water, but no changing area and a foot washing spigot outside the bathroom. It's a county park so you do pay to get in unless you have a yearly pass.

Have gone to this park throughout my life and that's a long time. It is always beautiful and clean. Lake Michigan is a beautiful lake and fun to swim and play in and around, but make sure you know what to do in case of rip tides. As a kid we never went swimming without having inner tubes or some means of getting back to the shore. This is very worth visiting and enjoying.,

Meinert Park has great trail areas nearby, picnic spots, pleasant beach walks, and benches to rest and take in the views. The sad part is the warning signs about ecoli testing and Little Flower Creek which emphasizes the need to protect our beaches and natural resources.
