‪A serene and quite temple, the decor of which provides a archetypical example of Japanese temple construction (at least as I understand it). Please note that as of February 2023 the daily chanting and meditation sits are no longer happening, which is unsurprising in this late/post-pandemic period. Nonetheless, it seems that you are still free to come and do your own meditation sits if you want.‬

‪Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple is nicely carved out of wood and it looks very much like a Japanese temple. it is one of the most popular temples of Bodh Gaya. It showcases Japanese paintings that depict important events of Buddha's life. Peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained.‬

‪Nice temple. Situated on the way between Mahabodhi Temple & Great Buddha Statue & walkable distance from both. The big temple structure resembles japanese pagoda. Serene atmosphere. A school is there within the compound. Not to miss this with other temples during Bodhgaya tour.‬

‪This temple is cooperatively in a serene and quiet place. One will realise the famous proverb that cleanliness is Godliness after seeing this temple. Aroma of incense will take you to other world. I will suggest that one should not miss this temple while visiting Bodh Gaya.‬

‪After hopping around several monasteries in Bodhgaya, this one seemed less attractive though. However, the temple, built by the Japanese, provides a glimpse of the Japanese architecture and is a pretty tranquil place to relax and rejuvinate. Visiting hours are from 9AM-12PM and 2PM-6PM‬
