very freindly and helpful. relaxing and good wine and coder choices. Ended up buying a few. Will go again

Was in Traverse City for the day and decided to stop here for wine tasting. Tastings were $1 a piece or $3 for some specialties. I like sweet wines and tried a few of them. I ended up going home with a bottle of the peach & honey wine. Excellent!! I did pay $3 to try the ice wine, which was also very good and worth the price to try it. The staff was just okay, they were friendly enough, but I got the feeling that they were bothered by us. It wasn't even that busy.

We were staying in Traverse City and we thought we would take a ride to the winery. Great Experience. The young man that waited on us was so knowledgeable about the grapes and the wines . He was so interesting to chat with. We bought a bottle of wine from the winery. Great job and we will be back!!

Cheeseburger soup was great. We enjoy this winery for its friendly service and location right off M22.

We always have a great time visiting Chateau de Leelanau. Matt and crew make you feel like family. We can not say enough good things about this establishment. Great service and excellent wine. A must visit if you travel to the TC area!!

Unfortunately they were all out of white wines so my review is based on hard cider only - really enjoyed the cherry bay cider which we ended up buying. Caramel apple and pumpkin were both good but very sweet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tastings were 5 for $5.

A group of us came in for a hard cider tasting and didn't like any of them. The first cider was alright, but then the next 3 were sickly sweet. A couple of us also tired the peach wine and the cherry wine, which were better than the ciders, but no one loved them. They were out of most of their wines, so they were doing $1/pour. If I came back I'd try the drier wines and skip the cider.

We did not have a great experience here. We did a tasting, which I believe cost $1 per pour. I think we did 4 or 5 pours. First of all, they were out of over half of their menu, which was annoying. Second and mostly importantly, we were standing in a SWARM of fruit flies. There were probably 50 fruit flies flying around our heads while we were trying to drink, which is absolutely disgusting. The problem was so bad that a staff member (who was also behind the bar pouring our drinks) was trying to kill the bugs with a battery-powered bug zapper (that looked like a tennis racquet). I don’t feel like that is super sanitary by any means, and to me, it says something about the establishment’s cleanliness (or lack thereof).
The two redeeming qualities for this place were their cherry wine and their berry bonanza cider. Both of these items are super delicious, and I would highly recommend tasting them, if you brave the fruit flies. This would be a cuter place if they could get their fruit fly problem under control!

Really enjoyed our experience here! We did a wine/cider tasting here. We really enjoyed the root beer cider so we bought it to bring home!

The girl here was very nice. There were certain items that were unavailable, but got to try a couple of ciders, home-made sangria, and a few wines. We ended up buying one of the expensive ones for some reason ($25) because it was very good (Finot Noir Rose).
