The first word that comes to mind is stunning. As you are driving to the golf course it is very unassuming, yet when you start playing it's as if you have been transported to some golf course in Colorado or Utah minus the mountains. Hilly, lush, fabulously maintained and in my opinion a steal when it comes to the cost of the round. Highly recommended!

Played round here with friends in annual golf trip. Staff was friendly, the golf course is outstanding, with man elevation changes and scenic holes, and course in superb condition. Absolutely a must play in northern Michigan.

Mother Nature did most of the work but the course designers were true to the contours of the landscape.
The bag boy was great, the check-in guy at the clubhouse was proud to work there and openly pleased you had chosen their course to golf.
The greens were inconsistent but in great shape. The views were outstanding, one amazing hole after another.
The green fees were a good value. It's worth the drive.

We had an excellent experience playing golf here. The staff is friendly and professional without the pretentiousness often found at better courses and this is a better course. The terrain is very hilly and the greens are undulating without being overly penal; the conditions are excellent and the course is difficult without being brutal.Hats off to Freddie and Jessie for making our experience fun and easy. Most highly recommend.

The course has many elevation changes, the holes are nicely framed by the woods behind each one. The staff are very friendly, with almost a family feeling. Play the longer tees if you are a low handicap, the course will be plenty tough from the back tees.

Many elevation changes and thick gnarly rough make this a course not for the faint of heart or lack of ability. Shoulder season rates ($35 when we played) make this one of the best golf bargains in upper Michigan. I recommend this course with the following caveat. If you are not a 15 or better handicap you will not enjoy this golf course and you will hold a lot of people up.

Noon teetime today 10/7/17 and enjoyed this hilly layout that was very fair and not tricked up. Great conditions with wind but mild at 75 degrees.
Only issue batchelor party with NINE golfers on 5 carts in front of us but we're done after 9 holes. At $34 each a great value. Only see bay on 15th tee.

My two boys and I played Bahle Farms during our recent family vacation to the Leland, MI area and enjoyed our round. We always marvel at the breathtaking elevation changes, since we live in "the flatlands of Illinois". The course was in pretty darned good shape and we played in just over three hours, having one of the earliest tee times and starting on the back nine.
The only reason I would not give a five star review was that we had played Manitou Passage earlier in the week for the same price and that was just a cut above this course. The staff and clubhouse, the upscale feel were just a notch above. The pace of play, overall playability (not quite as tight) and scenery are well worth considering, however.

I can't believe this course is not more well known. A top contender for best Northern Michigan golf courses. I would encourage everyone to put this course on your list of "must golf" courses, you won't be disappointed. I sure wasn't. A truly wonderful staff just tops off the experience

Surprisingly beautiful course in N Michigan. Challenging course, many elevated tees, scenic views. A bit of a hidden gem. Hard to find-- on Internet searches of local courses. Recommended.
